I'm proud of you Jesse for stepping up and if you can steal a game or two that should be considered a nice accomplishment

For 1K even vs Efren playing 1p.

Enjoy the donation.
8 to 15 games at an hour a game! Say 10 games at a hour a game is a 10 hour lesson at $100 an hour to egual the $1000!

He definitely could have negotiated better terms. But, knowing Efren he is going to get his monies worth!

Plus, make a new friend named Efren Reyes! How is this a losing proposition?

Jesse,
The best lessons are paid for. I did the same with a local road player. I paid him 60 a week for a good while and when it was over I was beating him some and I went to playing another guy I wasn't donating to.

I'm jealous, Efren is probably the one person in world that Id love to talk to for a long time.

God I envy you.

It's going to be difficult to step up your mental game when he beats your brains out, but have fun, anyway. :)

Is it worth a $1000 to hang with and play for a few hours with someone who man be your hero to have a lifetime of memories? I would say "yes". You wouldn't be able to play with/hang out with the best in pretty much any other endeavor no matter if it was a movie star, tennis player, or royalty.

Go buy some cue balls and posters before you go. Get his autograph. Maybe one day you can sell the cue for a ton of dough that was used to beat BATA. You can do it.

Genius level idea.
May I warn you?
Intelligence is frowned on in these parts.
Nick :)

I've been as big of a a-hole to you as anyone. Very very impressive you taking this step.

Thats a way cool opportunity. Make sure to keep that cueball safe at ALL costs. Soak it up, he may not be competing for much longer.

Kick his a$$!

great

I wish you luck and only wish I could do this, my advise to you is from the very
beginning send balls down table and keep them their. That way games will at least
last a long time and you'll get your moneys worth.
Good luck.

Might as well kick Efy butt while you are in there practicing ,go for the win -

Quick story: I knew a guy at my local tennis club who was a columnist at a major newspaper. He was one of the best players at the club, say top 5.

One day he manages to land an interview with Bjorn Borg, 11 slam titles including 5 consecutive Wimbledons... you get the picture. The terms were that they would play one set of tennis and then they would do the interview. One thing: my friend asked that Borg not take it easy on him. Just play to win as hard as possible.

My friend the columnist is receiving serve first. He's good enough to know that his only chance is to get some clean winners. On Borg's first serve, he returns serve hitting the ball about as hard as he could for a clean winner!! That was the last point of the set that he won. It was over in 10 minutes. :sorry:

But don't think about that when you play Efren!

I'd probably pay a grand right now to play him for a few hours myself. Even if you get stomped, at least it was done by the best. Something you can talk about until you croak!
