i never say no trades as it's always interesting to see what will be offered up.
It's really easy to just pm with thanks anyway so i don't see what the big deal is.

+1......... i Agree... and i wont go near Brians posts anymore.
Hi Cheese;
#1: This thread was written tongue-in-cheek, however, it really is frustrating, after requesting NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE to have to answer close to a dozen TRADE OFFERS that are pm'ed every time your cue is bumped to page 1.
#2: Even though this issue truly is a pain-in-the behind, I hope you will appreciate that I tried to make the point in a humerous way e.g. "gonna hunt you down with a machete." :grin-square:
Is it not okay to ask and expect potential buyers to abide by the terms you set in your sale?
I surely did not mean to offend anyone.
Above all else, hang on to your sense of humor.

In the relatively short amount of time that I've been here selling some of my cues, I typically state "No Trade Offers Please".
What I mean when I say that is I am not interested in anyone offering one of their cues plus cash, minus cash, or even-up for the particular cue I'm selling.
I am so sure of myself when I specify "No Trade Offers Please" that it doesn't matter to me whether you have a broomstick or a Searing to trade, I am just not interested.
I have gone as far as posting this request in BOLD RED to make sure no one misses it yet I am still bombarded with the inevitable; "I know you said no trades but I was just wondering if....."
Wonder no more! If I state NO EFFING TRADES, then I beg you, please don't offer any.
In one of my recent very inexpensive cue listings I took it even one step further by saying "Anyone who offers a trade on this cue, I will hunt you down with a machete."
Consider yourselves on notice!
To comply with the forum rules, I am looking for a Tony Ryan extension if anyone happens to have one for sale. Yes, I know Seyberts has them for approx $33 new but still thought maybe I could find someone with an extra or otherwise unneeded one.
Thank you for your time.

You're right, JB, not easy (possible) to change everyone.
And it looks like you're gonna have to put that nice Jensen you just acquired in a closet.Great buy by the way.
So, for anyone who thinks this thread was for naught, I ahve some great news.
I swear, I was pm's last night and am now the proud owner of a Tony Ryan extension for slightly less than one would have cost at Seybert.
And, I meant it sincerely when I said I sure didn't mean to offend anyone here. Just having a little fun.
All you traders, you're forgiven.
