I can't find anything about this tournament on your web site.

This is invitational only, but where are the top players from Taiwan? Philippines has 3, who is Andam? Is he better than Reyes and the rest? Too many unknown US players. For England, I think Peach is better than Riley.

Andam is another small, brown, bad-ass MF'r with a Visa. That is all you need to know. That, and Riley is The One.

World 10-Ball Championship Filling Up with Diverse International Field

Dragon Promotions predicts that the Predator World 10-Ball Championship will have the largest foreign field ever attended in Florida's strong billiard history. The invitational event was limited to 96 invitees who will commence combat on the green felt starting May 24 at Bankshot Billiards in Jacksonville, FL.

Over 20 countries will be represented including players from Italy, Hong Kong, Sweden, Netherlands, Russia, Dominica, France, Canada, China, England, Australia, Germany, Korea, Philippines, Denmark, Puerto Rico, Spain, Japan, Aruba, Curacao, Belgium, Guatamala, Finland, and the USA.

"We've sponsored this event seven years now, but we're more excited than ever before. Going from 9-Ball to 10-ball, and then from open to the World Championships has been the right evolution. The response on this World Championship event has been beyond our expectations." says Karim Belhaj, CEO of Predator Products.

Experienced World Championship title competitors in attendance include World 9-Ball Champions Thorsten Hohmann(GER), Alex Pagulayan (PHI), Mika Immonen(FIN), Ralf Souquet(GER), and Johnny Archer(USA). Other vastly seasoned pros include Niels Fiejen (NET), Marcus Chamat(SWE), Francisco Bustamente (PHI), Charlie Williams (USA), Thomas Engert(GER), Raj Hundal(ENG), Luc Salvas(CAN), Fabio Petroni (ITL) and many more.

First timers for a World Championship event include newbies Rob Saez (USA), Manuel Gama (SPN), Goh Takami(JPN), Pil Hyun Cho(KOR), Craig Riley (ENG), John Morra(CAN).

Surprisingly, top pro veteran Tony Robles(USA) will be taking his first stab at a rotation game World Title at this event."I get invited every year, but the World 9-Ball Championship has always been far overseas. I don't know if I can sweat the flight. Just flying to Las Vegas from New York kills me!" admits the 2x Sportsman of the Year.

As well as being the first ever World 10-Ball Championship in history, this will be the first time a rotation game World Championship will be held on American soil since 1994.

"We revived the World Straight Pool Championship last year, and since then we've seen a resurgence in the game all over the world. Creating the first ever World 10-Ball Championship, we feel we will help promote the growth and popularity of this game as well." says Charlie Williams, Founder of Dragon Promotions.

In conjunction with the main event, there will also be the 2nd Annual US Amateur 8-Ball & 9-Ball Open with Open, Womens, and Seniors Divisions from May 23-27,2007. These events are only open to amateurs and will not allow pros,semi-pros,or top rated amateurs. The Junior World 10-Ball Championships with Girls and Boys Divisions will be held May 26-27,2007. For info on amateur events goto www.dragonpromotions.com or email dpamateurevents@gmail.com. Junior inquiries email world10ballchampionships@gmail.com

Several years ago, I would name Leonardo Andam as one of the best filipino players. He is still great, but also is old.

I have ever heard Dragon Promotion has a bad relation with CTBA, and it is one of the reasons Dragon Promotion has never invited any taiwanese in their tours these years.

I hope you were just joking

He was not joking. :D

Even if Adam has aged, he can still rattle some feathers. He is called "The Rattlesnake".

Everyone knows (should know) who The One is. :D

Funny

but whenever I see 'World Championship' on any tournament, I have a tendency to think the players have 'qualified' in some way to be there, and not just by invitation.

I think I will have my own 'World Championship' and just invite guys I know I can beat ..... LOL

Put me in the list then.

Why would anyone think "Andam is another small, brown, bad-ass MF'r with a Visa...." is an insult? It's completely true - Leonardo Andam is short, his skin color is brown, and he is one helluva fantastic player. Visa shouldn't be capitalized here, since I don't think Black-Balled is talking about a credit card, but other than, these are nothing but the facts, ma'am....

Not too long ago, Andam finished 5th at the WPC. I think that was the year Mika won it - if so, it was 2001. He's another strong Filipino player.

I guess saying that "Andam is another bad-ass MF'r with a Visa" would have been suffice. The other words used were unnecessary.

Charlie, are you going to answer my question from the other thread? If you're just giving away invites, I want one.

I wish Dennis Orcollo was invited to this tournament. I think he would be the heavy favorite at 10 ball... not so much at 9 ball. Just my humble opinion...

You forgot your IMO...mine was all fact and not meant to be insulting.

He knows he's brown, ya know!
