This guy from Denver breached a deal I had with him. He made the deal and never followed through on it. He failed to return my calls after his breach.

barrosm did the same with me. He asked me to end an eBay auction (which I did) and he never paid nor returned any phone calls or emails.

He ( Manny/manuel) wanted to trade 2 AC cues for one of my Runde's and never followed through . I've talked to him on the phone helping him post pic's he never got back with me eather.

I asked this question a few months ago and I disagree with all the posters that said it was ok. It's NOT ok to make an offer, have it accepted, then disappear. YOU owe it to that person to give them a reason on why you're not taking the merchandise in a timely manner. When the offer is accepted that seller usually takes the item off the market. So while you're sitting there realizing you don't have enough beer bottles to turn in to make the cash, this person could have sold the cue 10 times. Thats what is unfair about doing this.

I don't know where you people come from, but when you make an offer, it's an obligation. You make that offer, then you know if it's accepted you take the cue. My word is gold, if I make an offer, you have the money no problem. Then to see / hear my peers do it, well it confirms one thing I have always known. I have NO peers.

It's happened to me, and those who do it are as bad as deadbeat ebayers.

Incorrect. We could not come to terms on shipping (i.e., the risk of loss being on you until delivery in my hands and declared value for customs purposes).

Dead on, JV...I have lost sales because of the same thing. You take the cue off the market and miss certain sales. When someone commits, they need to follow through. Most of the time, it is simply "buyer's remorse", or they see another cue that someone else puts up that they think is a better buy. I do understand that sometimes things happen, but there is an obligation to let the seller know right away.

Just my 2 cents.

If i said i was interested in a cue, it means just that, interested, with no obligation to buy.

If i make an Offer on something, and offer accepted in timely manner, then i feel you are definitely obligated to buy, unless some VERY extenuating circumstrances.

On another note, i have seen sellers list a cue here with a need to raise some money for some non-pool related thing, but then they go and list in description of cue that they would concider trades?
Why plead poverty and need for $, then accept trades?

Doesn't look good to the average consumer, wheel and deal all you like but at least keep it honest.

Bama and Classic are right,and even if you don't take the cue off the market it is still thier obligation to buy it.i have made offers here and other places that i did not expect the person to accept and was not really in the right financial situation to buy it,but i did anyway.i make an offer and if you accept i will buy it,even if i have to beg,borrow and steal to get the money(not really but you get the point).

It was obvious to me the shaft with the cracked ferrule had been sanded down, and they still could'nt remove the blueing.


when you pm'd me offering to replace ferrule, i responded that that wasn't going to work for me, and i would rather you send shaft that was in photo. The pretty much mint one.

after delaying more time, i send multiple pm's. You respond:

Sounded pretty straight forward to me. I personally hate being patient with people.
