looking for info on these old tables.. mine plays AMAZING

its a 8 ft OS, ball return, italian slate (1 piece 1"), natural rubber on the rails, counters by the returns (although admittedly these could have been added later i doubt it though), looks like formica over the body with the "f" marker diamonds, large F decal sticker near ball retrun on left side, with the serial number on the right of the bal return on steel plate...

anyways, i believe mine is from the time period before they sold to spaulding... i believe mine to have been made around late 60s

im wondering if anyone has info as far as how the serial number relates to the date of manufacture.. i would love to put a solid date to this table..

I had a Fischer in the 60s, bought a bar size table from Saffrons on Woodward ave in the Detroit area. It was a great table, don't remember the numbers but someone who worked for them might remember the tables. Try Richard Chudy, I think he might have worked for Saffrons back then. Not sure if this helps.

table

good luck...I have a 1955 32x64 fischer....no info on it no where....i have made all the parts i needed...

anyone else?

i can't help any with the dates or history of these tables, but grew up on one in the early 70's and just loved that table, Later on I moved t Denver and every Wednesday night there was a ring game downtown Denver at Jay's bar. The table was Fisher there as well, a 4x8 with the big ball. Players succh as Joey Torman, Denny Searcy, Danny Medina, Craig Stevens, Ronnie Allen, Joe Salazar, and so on and so on. The thing I remember most about that table, is you never heard any complaints about the table. Stevens once said it was the best bar table he ever played on. Now that iis quite and endorsement!!
