Inherited a cue/Cue ID help please

Take clearer pics, also of the joint and under the butcap. Not that I can tell from that ;) , but others can narrow it down. I am almost positive I have seen that design before, but the elements in it are pretty common so I could be tricking myself.

Look here, 97-9 is Very close to yours http://bluebookofpoolcuevalues.com/...d=ADAM_CUSTOM_CUES_HELMSTETTER_97_SERIES_CUES
I'm going to show my ignorance here but I had no idea the BB was online. How thorough is it? Is it as comprehensive as the book? How inflated is the pricing?

Sorry for the hijack...

I think it looks more like the Level 5 97-11. It has the rectangular maple blocks in the butt end. But the dots aren't flush with the maple blocks like they are in the bluebook picture.

The butt does look like it, but there are extra points in the 11 model. Maybe it was a custom order.

You need to pay to get the pricing, but the information about the cues and pictures are there.

All 97 series has double silver rings under tge joint. If it does it might be but I doubt it.
Thr cue looks like JW or maybe and early Schon. Very important: what's the pin?, piloted or not?, and sime pics of it. Also the butt plate and inside of it.

Correct, the 97 series did have double rings, but this shaft may not be an original.

The maple windows look to thin (in width) to all the JW cues I have seen with them. The pic of the JW posted is an example of that. While it would not rule it out, as they are custom cues, it does narrow the chances greatly that it is one.
As said in my first post, need pics of the joint pin, under the bumper etc... Take them in better outdoor light etc...
