Hey Everyone,

I picked up this cue/case set that I found interesting and I was wondering if anyone was familiar with it. It appears to be a Minnesota Fats Hermitage cue, with brochure and case. Neither the cue nor case seem to be of the best quality and I'm not sure they were even purchased together. Here are some pics. If you have any info, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jeremy

What does The Hermitage have to do with this cue? The brochure is about the museum, with no mention of the cue. The "autograph" on the brochure is just the stamp that Minnesota Fats used. It has nothing to do with the Hermitage either.

I don't see where either the cue - a dime-a-dozen Taiwan banger stick, or the case, a similar
cheap Asian knock-off of an obscure old design, have anything to do with Fatty.

No need to jump the guy he's just looking for information.
Jeremy, the stick appears to be a rather cheap import, the case probably as well.
Have a good one.

The Hermitage is where Fatty spent his last years.

From the hotel's website here https://www.thehermitagehotel.com/

Famous Guests

Our spacious rooms and suites, flexible meeting and event venues,
award winning restaurant, and historic downtown location have
been the choice of many famous guests travelling to Nashville
over the years.

A few of our past famous guests include: President John F. Kennedy,
President Franklin D. Roosevelt, President Jimmy Carter, Jerry Lee Lewis,
Al Capone, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Bette Davis,
Greta Garbo and Charlton Heston.

Pool King

The hotel was home for eight years to pool legend Minnesota Fats.
The pool shark, arguably the most famous player to pick up a cue stick,
had his own table on the Mezzanine above the elegant lobby.

The bumper, butt cap, synthetic wrap, and rings identify this as most likely a Kao-Kao cue.

Vinyl case.

Unlikely to establish any provenance or connection to Fats I would think. And even if you could it is questionable if it would boost the value much.

It's the classic "$35" pool cue we have talked about in the forums. Can make a nice starter cue.

I have been chasing info on the Cobra Professional cues and Mizerak Professional Series, the best of the cues from that manufacturer. I recognize cues from that factory right off generally.
