Interesting show on A & E titled "the Hustler"

about a pool hustler who was found murdered in his hotel room, and interviews with the suspects.

Evidently the victim was a road player staying in a seedy motel and two people, a man and a woman, went to his room to rob him. They wound up killing him for $150 and a '95 Mercury. The guy claimed self defense but the woman eventually told the whole story. Both charged with Murder first degree.

Yep, a man dies for a whole $150 and a sh!t car. Amazing how low some people can stoop. That was the most blood I've ever seen from one body...the girl said he just wouldn't stop hitting him. The murderer is obviously a low-life idiot...but come on! Why drive the car of the guy you just murdered?!?!? Rot in Hell.

Intelligence isn't a prerequisite to being a criminal. The woman wasn't too bright either. If she had gotten a lawyer before she talked there is a chance that a prosecutor would have given a plea bargain in exchange for her testimony.

There was a case in St Louis several years ago where a guy went into a bank and applied for a loan, then came back a few hours later and robbed the bank. When they looked at the surveillance video one of the bank employees recognized the guy as the same person who applied for the loan. Police went to the address given on the loan application and sure enough, the bank robber answered the door.

I live in memphis and I knew this guy.. They called him Ya-ya... doesn't surprise me what happened, although I am sorry... Things like this happen in the fine city of Memphis all the time... you should come visit.

The show described him as a pool hustler. Was he a road player or just a guy who gambled at pool?
