A good friend of mine, who passed away 6 years ago, had an older Joss, modified with what I consider
the best cue extension ever.
Someone had cut the butt off 4" from the bottom, then fitted a titanium rod into the short section,
and a titanium tube into the long section.
Both the rod and tube were ever so slightly oval in section.
All one had to do was twist the end about a quarter turn left, pull back to the desired extension,
then twist back to the right to lock. I think the max extend was about 5 or 6 inches.
The weight of the titanium parts was offset by the wood removed, so the weight and balance
of the cue when not extended was not affected.
He had bought the cue second hand, and did not know who had modified it. It worked so quick and smooth,
you hardly noticed him using it.
He said if he ever sold it, I would have first dibs, but a niece of his wanted it to remember him by.
Do any of you know who may have made this extension?
TIA, Dan
