They've posted the Bigfoot bracket, starting tomorrow at 11:00. No SVB yet showing as still being in the 9 Ball

Glad I didn't buy all those Arena TV seats in advance like last year.

Bigfoot:

1P...

14.1 only 20 players...

Looks like they're having trouble filling the Bigfoot, now I'm debating whether I go watch. I mean, a Buc-ee's nearby is enticing but those Bigfoot matches could be whitewashes.

Why is the INTL count-down clock now showing an hour and 14 minutes when the Bigfoot is supposed to start in 14 minutes (11:00 AM there)?

Most of the usual suspects are here.

Ken as ref, Ed as TD, Mark in the booth.
Pat has set up a really nice event and venue and seems intent on making this a good experience for the players and spectators.

So yes, Don Feeney is here at 97 playing, I believe, in the 14.1. I spoke with him yesterday and I think he lives at The Villages and his rec room compatriots paid his entry. He looks great and he still strokes the balls very smoothly.

So what else… the property is nice, good room, Mike Siegel is here and in the booth with Mark. I play at 5. Looking forward to a good time.

Gorst just beat Sanchez 10-5 in the Bigfoot.

Mike Sigel was in the commentary booth with Mark Wilson. Mike's commentary was excellent -- much better than in the past.

I was cringing a bit when I realized it was Cpt Hook in the booth but I agree 100% that his commentary was excellent. He made good comments on tactical and shot selection topics in addition with references to his old matches without the inflated ego.

And Arseni made a nice comeback against Clark who had a roadmap to go 9-5 up, but made a small position selection error (which Mike commented on) and missed and let Arseni back in the match. Eventually Arseni won the hill hill rack with some really solid nerveless shotmaking. Come on Finnish Flash! 👏

Almost ready to give up - they claim PPV is available and "go to digital pool" and you go there and there is nothing but various memberships which aren't really helpful - can't find any menu option for PPV for this event.

Anyone know where to find it?
FYI, the Accu-Stats arena table is free this year on youtube.

International Bigfoot rules changes:

• Are jump cues allowed?
No in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Yes in 2025.
• Does a 10-ball made on the break (with no foul) count as a game win?
No in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2025.
Yes in 2024.

What kind of table are they playing on?

And can somebody go and measure the pockets, both corner and side?

And please don't say they look 4.5" to me. Somebody go and measure them. Using two balls would be fine.

I've always thought that the Bigfoot events at the DCC and the International were invitational events for professionals. And I believe they have always tried to get the most skilled players they could.

This year at the International it appears that they were unable to fill all of the planned 16 spots with professionals of any level. So rather than just play the event with fewer than 16, the field was filled somehow with several players who, in my opinion, do not belong in an event of this caliber. I'd much rather see byes, or a revised format for fewer players, than players whose skill level is far below that of the traditional Bigfoot players. There are other events at both the DCC and the International that are pro/ams. I think that filling out a Bigfoot field with players of a significantly lesser ability than the Bigfoot norm is a poor decision.
