That looks like about 40 players so far, vs. only 30 in the event last year. Is the event being capped at a certain number?

Where's Filler -- present in 2022, absent in 2023.

Next year they just need to get this event off the Thanksgiving time frame! It is just a bad time for travel whether it be plane or car in this area. Glad it is a bigger field with some really high end 14.1 players- should be a great watch on the internet!

Right.

I'd consider going to sweat this but that week -- air travel will be crazy.

There is no issues with driving "in this area" at this time of year. Pretty easy to get in and out of. Better than if it was in a lot of other locations.

Finally some pro pool here in N FL.

Really? Perhaps only if one is local to the event - otherwise I would not chance it on other major Florida arteries - Route 4 - I 95 etc - no way. Talking about getting home for the actual holiday.

I do, however , fully appreciate the pro pool here in Fl - no question about that. Perhaps next year they find open spots outside of the biggest travel time in America - the summers are dead here and venues are very inexpensive in the summer months

Just open up those windows, kick back, and enjoy the country cruise up 301 or even better, 17. :)

We will cap it at about 48 players. But we have enough tables to accommodate 56 players.
We hope Filler will enter.

I'll be flying into Jacksonville Wednesday night and driving to Gainesville to see some college friends. Probably Thursday night or Friday I'll be heading over to St Augustine. It's been a while since I drove through Palatka...

Is the weather the reason for bad traveling in a car at that time. From Texas to Florida?

earlier years it's been held before the international 9b. this year it's after the 9b, which may or may not affect participation
