I just set up a blog that will be an ongoing commentary of IPT developments as well as my own experiences on the IPT and other articles I will write.

It is intended to fill the gap on IPT news, provide some insights from different angles, player discussions etc.

I hope to hear from various IPT players and fans who would like to share some of their insights on the blog.

Also, let me know if I have missed any IPT player websites in my links section on the right.

Take a look at the site here: http://calcul8r.blogharbor.com/blog and let me know if you have any recommendations for the site design, content or whatever.

The Calculator???

Colin, what about all the talks we had about you being "Cleanser"??? With all of the NaturalCures stuff that are Colon Cleansing products I thought you and I struck the IPT Marketing goldmine with that idea. Hummmff. Whatever. Go ahead and be a calculator. See if I care.

You would think he would have picked a nickname he would know how to spell. By the way, a nickname is generally 'given to' you, not something you pick yourself. Ridiculously cheesy.

For the record, the nickname was actually given to him by some brilliant, clever, and not to mention handsome man.

I like the blog a lot, Colin. It's well done and very informative. :)

How about a pic of that new table you're practicing on?!

And don't forget about that incredible traveling Mothership on the IPT tournament trail!:D

WOW, Colin! That's incredible! The table looks GREAT, and then there's that view! WOW! :)

Because of the advent of the IPT, many pool rooms in my area have been hosting 8-ball tournaments, IPT style. It's fantastic and a good way to keep in stroke.

I'm still wondering about those 8-ball blokes from England who are 8-ball mechanics. When they were in Orlando at the IPT King of the Hill Shootout this past December, they weren't playing in the event, but were there because they were a part of the 150 player members.

While many folks were enjoying the festivities, these Brits were playing 8-ball on one of the four practice tables in the front hallway, and let me tell you, they weren't missing too many balls. I am very anxious to see how these gentlemen do at the first event in Las Vegas.

I'd imagine most players are sharpening up their 8-ball skills, honing in on that $350,000 first-place prize. Whoever snaps that one off, it will change their life forever. Talk about incentives for being the best that you can be! :)

July is a long way off, and it's going to be a hoot to see who excels at the first official tournament. With the diversified group of IPT members, it's really going to be very exciting. Yep, real pool, real rules, and real money. About damn time!

Hi there JAM

I'm one of the lads from the UK who was busy shooting on the practice tables at the KOTH event (we met at the US Open recently in VA).

I was practising with some of the other European players (Ivica Putnik, Fabio Petroni, Marcus Juva) who are part of the 150 but not in the KOTH event itself.

I have ordered a new style (tight pocket) 9' Diamond table for my house so that I can put many hours practice in, it should be here in a few weeks and I can't wait. A couple of the other lads are doing the same and the tables are coming over in the same shipment.

It's going to be ideal as I will have around 5 months table time on it before the 1st event.

As has been stated by Bernie Friend on this forum, the UK lads know the 8 ball game inside out as that is what we've played for 20+yrs. We all need to adjust to the table and equipment and that is why we're all busy putting the hours of practice in.

Colin has a great site set up for his IPT adventures and I look forward to meeting with him and all the rest of the players and fans at the 1st event for 2006 in Las Vegas.

Take care
Pat

Pat, are you the guy to Fabio's left? Both of them were practicing on those four front tables. Check out the always dapper Fabio with his Hollywood smile. He must have been winning! :D

See, here is another plus for the IPT. It will lower our trade deficit. All these tables being sold - and Colin even purchased a Jack Justise case. Yep it won't be long and our trade deficit will be back to normal. All because of KT.

Colin

That is Marko Lohtander from Finland with Fabio.

He was shooting some frames with us too at the practice arena.
