Hey JAM,

the problem with updates for IPT qualifiers is....................its across the street.

I heard Brandon Ashcraft won a spot. Sorry I don't have more but if i hear of anything I will post for you

Thanks so much for the info, SweatinNbettin!:)

I just got an e-mail from the IPT which stated the qualifier is filled up, and the play begins tomorrow, Saturday, at 10:00 a.m. and is expected to go until 10:00 p.m. The two top winners will receive their IPT card for 2006.

I'd love to know the names on the player roster! :p

Well i am not sure of all the names but here is a couple for you to ponder...Eric Durbin and C.J. Wiley showed up this evening in the lobby so we assume to play in the qualifier.

Let you know more tomorrow

Jason Miller will be playing in it also. I hope he makes it, he's hot right now, and 8-ball is his best game!

just more hot air!

It is all on the IPt website. With brackets showing the 46 players. When was the last time a tour did this?

Jam I wonder if they have a computer set up at the DCC like they did in Orlando. Now that would be something.

Welcome to the online coverage of the 2006 IPT Qualification Tournament A at the Derby City Classic. The following players will participate in the tournament (players are listed in alphabetical order):

• Ashcraft, Brandon • Jamito, Gerardo
• Bailey, Billy • Lapina, Albrecht
• Balderas, Eddie • Lee, Jeanette
• Barger, Denver • Majid, Imran
• Beckley, Jeff • Matlock, David
• Bennett, Keith • McCullough, Clent
• Boutin, Alain • Miller, Jason
• Bradford, Chris • Ochoa, Sylver
• Breedlove, George • Paez, Ismael
• Brock, Jerry • Pagulayan, Alex
• Del Rio, Jose • Paulowske, Tommy
• Dominguez, Oscar • Petralba, Daniel
• Durbin, Eric • Platis, Harry
• Engert, Thomas • Roberts, Brian
• Ferrell, Sparky • Saez, Robb
• Foldes, Vilmos • Schmidt, Michael
• Foldvari, Robby • Slivka, Gerald
• Groce, Brian • Smith, Adam
• Hernandez, Frankie • Staubes, Michael
• Hemmah, David • Troy, John
• Heuwagen, Lee • Ulrich, Louis
• Hoa, Tang • Van Boening, Shane
• Idrovo, Richard • Wiley, CJ

Wow, what a field of great players from all over the world! That's a great turnout!

I'd like to see Jerry Slivka do well, always pulling for the home-team favorite.

Harry Platis got a tough draw first round with Eric Durbin.

Shane from South Dakota will do well, but he's in a tough part of the brackets.

I like this real-time coverage on the IPT website, too! I'll be following this qualifier, but at 4:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, it will be Redskins Fever on the homefront. The bookies got Redskins a 9-1/2-point dog, but those Seattle Seahawks better watch out. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!

Just 2

It is hard to just pick 2 out of that bunch. There
are probably 8-10 that have a real shot.

I guess I will have to go with Alex and Engert though.

I don't think Jeanette can go the distance.
Tang Hoa has a good chance.
George Breedlove has a shot.
Hemmeh has a chance.
Shane VB has a shot.
Can't forget C.J.. - experience could come through.
Rob Saez can't be left out.

Looks like Frankie Hernandez has found another tour.

Alex HAS TO make it through. The IPT definitely needs his personality on board!

Question: If a player doesn't make it through this qualifier, is he/she still eligible to enter the remaining 3 qualifiers, provided that he/she forks over another 2k?

Yes, one can play in all of them, at 2,000 per qualifier.

Noticed ...

that Matlock and Brandon Ashcraft (thought it was Ashcroft)
will be playing on the 1 loss side.

This list of players for the qualifier (even without Harriman and Pierce) shows what a joke the original 150 picked was/is.

So far ...

My picks of Engert and Alex look pretty good.
Notice Shane VB is doing good on the 1 loss side,
and Hemmah is still a contender too on the 1 loss
side. That match between Alex and Breedlove must
have been quite a match with Alex on top 10 -9.

What time does play start today? I just checked and
1 loss side matches are in progress.

Someone shed some light on Vilmos Foldes, heard the
name before, but don't know anything about him?
