Remember 13k is the min amount all 150 tour card holders will win, BUT given the 2 open events are top heavy it will be tough for any of the bottom players to add more than $4k to this amount (its only $2k extra to make the second round for each event), not to mention these events will be seeded based on the current money list.

World Open Prize Money
1st Place - $500,000
2nd Place - $150,000
3rd Place - $92,000
4th Place - $80,000
5th Place - $66,000
6th Place - $50,000
7th - 18th Place - $36,000 each
19th - 36th Place - $25,000 each
37th - 60th Place - $15,000 each
61st - 120th Place - $7,000 each
121st - 200th Place - $5,000 each

The new qualifers and the players on 2k (if any qualify) in theory will have a chance if they make the $15k round but realistically they will probably need to make the $25k round.

The players on 5k will probably be safe on 15k, and the guys on 10k will have a chance on $7k but of course 15k will make them safe.

I'm pretty certain that the guys on 17k and 30k are all safe, since all of the guys on 17k have won 5k from already qualfiying.

Once next weeks qualifiers are known I will update the list removing the guys who didn't make it and are on less than 13k and we'll have a good idea of what everyone needs to do.

Good job you are doing!!

After what I can tell this means that some of my favourite players as Jasmin Ouschan and Tony Drago, who both qualified for the first time, will have to play awesome to reach the 25 k to secure a Tour Card for 07?

Yep I think youre correct. As it stands there are 18 guys who made the NA Open that have requalified + 25 New Qualifiers + 10 more players from the final qualifiers next week. I'd be shocked if less than 20 of them don't win a card, I suspect it will be somewhere between 20-30.

Interesting stats Craig, there's some great names on the list who should earn their tour card for next year, and there's also some great names who won't earn their card. Hopefully some of the qualifiers for the World Open that didn't qualify for the North American Open will be able to put in good performances to earn their spot on tour.

Nice Job Craig. Hate to be anal and point out a mistake, but Jeff Beckley made 5k and isn't a new qualifier. Plus another 5k for the World Open, total 10. Just pointing it out since I saw him at the Venetian and said hello since he no longer lives in Cali. But thanks again, this really clears up a lot of questions.

Yes I got that bit  Im just checking that they are one and the same person since their first names are different, I assume they are?

You might need to add Vilmos Foldes since he has tried to qualify and got beat by the girl. This guy can flat out play. I was real surprised when she beat him. Buddy Hall gave him his spot in the first tournament. He had 10 wins with only 3 losses in the first IPT tourament and was not able to get past the 3 round. So he won $10,000.

I've started to edit the first post of this thread (above also). Qualifiers still in progess but new names added, players that have been eliminated and have less than 13k are greyed out as they dont have a chance to win a card. Also possible that Foldes/Diks could get wild card spot based on 3rd place finishes although diks!

Not sure JAM but several, just assume there will be additional spots due to players like Buddy etc that have dropped out. I think Diks and Foldes have atleast one 3rd?

Here are all the third-place wins for the World Open event to date:

WO-1, Tyler Strawn
WO-2, Josh Burbal
WO-3, Tony Crosby
WO-4, Mike Vidas
WO-5, Rudolfo Luat
WO-6, Dave Matlock
WO-7, Jasmin Oushin
WO-8, Wei Lui
WO-9, Mark Grey
WO-10, Marco Marquez
WO-11, Masaaki Tanaka
WO-12, Michael Schmidt
WO-13, Rico Diks
WO-14, Davide Pacasi
WO-15, Antonio Lining
WO-16, Vilmos Foldes
WO-17, Tang Hoa
WO-18, Louis Condo
WO-19, Erick Hjorleison
WO-20, Andreas Roschkowsky

The qualifiers that are complete this weekend would reflect Rico Diks currently as the only competitor with two third-place wins.

WO-23, Rudy Molta
WO-24, Rico Diks

Are there any third-place contenders in the remaining three qualifiers for this weekend who are close to a THIRD-PLACE qualifier win for WO-21, WO-22, and WO-25? I can't tell! :p

If not, then Rico Diks has a lock!
