IPT Qualifier Money List

I didn't see Paul Potier's name on the orginal list as I know he's won $10,000 so far.
RJ

The list I posted up was only the third-place finishes for this round of 25 qualifiers, exclusively for the Word Open in Reno.

We were trying to figure out who would fill in the two remaining slots for the World Open in Reno, since Buddy Hall and Jim Rempe pulled out. Usually, it is granted to the third-place finisher with the most wins in third place.

Plus, Paul Potier is already an IPT member for the 2006 season.

Thanks Jam.

I was referring to "the Ones" list, however,in any case my reference to Paul Potier doesn't apply.Iguess that's what happens when one skims through a thread without taking time to read carefully.:o
My mistake.

21 - Richie Richeson
22 - Shin Park
25 - Jui-Lung Chen

I think Wei Liu should be given a spot given that he had one and wasn't able to get to the US.

Just curious, hope to see some new name showing up for IPT.

Sounds like Richie Richeson, Mike Vidas or Rico Diks, but I still think Liu should get one of them if he finally has his passport in order.

I would like to see Diks in the World Open, but there are several deserving players. The fact that he finished so well in the North American Open and failed to win a qualifier just goes to show how hard it is to make it through these qualifiers. Also, how cool is it that Wu will be in Reno?!

Will there be more than 200 players entered for Reno? The list shows 173 players from Vegas and 30 new qualifiers for Reno = 203?.

Prob means some mistakes then, oh unless you are counting the guys at the top who havent requalified? This list is basically a list of all the qualifiers who have a chance to win 13k or more, tha absolute minimum to win a tour card at the end of the year. (given all 150 card holders get this for turning up)

Need to check but the total players that have red next to them plus the new qualifers should equal 50 at present?

There will definitely be 148 2006 IPT card-holders present, with Buddy Hall and Jim Rempe not attending this one in Reno. The key word is 30 "new" qualifiers. Some of the players who will be making the trek also played in Vegas by winning a qualifier, i.e., James Walden, Ronnie Wiseman, David Broxson, Santos, et cetera. So I think that for at least 30 of the 52 qualifier players (non-IPT members for 2006 season), this will be their first time competing at an IPT event. I think that's right, at any rate! :p

Updated qualifer list now several players have been eliminated. Basically I have greyed out any player that lost first round and their total winnings are less than the 13k that is the minimum amount to have a chance at a card.

42 players still in with a STRONG chance to qualify. Many of the first time qualifers are doing great and I now think we could be looking at over 30 players that win a card.

Craig.......not sure but you might need to have a rethink about assuming the "minimum" of US$ 13,000/- for qualifiers to have any chance of winning a card.

Deno's press release re the cancellation of the London event simply said that the IPT would write a check to make up the difference between US$ 13,000/- and any lesser total amount won by any member who played in all events.

That in itself does not sound to me like it can be automatically interpreted as meaning that they will all get US$ 13,000/- credited to their money list record for the purpose of rankings,in fact if anything it sounds more like the opposite, unless some other clarification has already been given on this (I am not up to speed on all the threads just recently)

 :)

Interesting point, could be controversial. The players have always been guaranteed $13k minimum earnings, if some players dont win this amount and the "handout" doesn't count towards their money list ranking their could be some unhappy card holders!

However I doubt it will come to that as expect the minimum amount needed to make the top 100 to be slightly more than 13k.

It sure looks like the 150 card holders are playing for about 70 spots at best though which would mean 80 of them missing out.

Given the other new announcement that any IPT CARD HOLDERS that don't make the cut will have to PAY $2000 AND their OWN expenses in the DEC Tour Card Qualifier I doub't many will turn up.

If they all turned up the IPT would have raised another $150k+ of course!
