IPT Tournaments locations? what do you think?

It will be interesting to see where all the tournaments end up being at, I wonder if the KOTH will have it's home in Florida or will the just keep moving them around,

Like Golf I hope they find locations where each particular tournament stays, that way people know how to plan for all the events and they become linked to location, like when you mention Augusta, you think the masters....maybe in pool you say Orlando and everyone knows KOTH.

ahhh, thats just me, but I do think with all the tournaments, they would try to have them in key locations for all to see.
Florida, for the South
Vegas for the West
Atlantic City for the Northeastern big cities
maybe even in Chicago for the Midwest.

I'm looking forward to seeing it make a stop in the Northeast! I'm sure he's not going to leave us out, tons of pool players in the tri-state area, all within driving distance of the AC casinos.

So with Vegas and Atlantic City, I would think he could cut a better deal for the venue because for some reason people get the idea pool players like to gamble...where did they get that idea anyway with all the winnings the players get, some of that just may find it's way to the tables or slots.

Anyway just curious how many of us on AZ what it in AC.

How about Indianapolis? We're going to get all kinds of attention on the world stage after the Colts win the Superbowl But seriously I think Chicago makes sense because that's the location of the IPT hq I believe.

The Seminoles have two new casinos in Florida - in Tampa and Hollywood - and Osceola is supportive of pool. So they may be on the list.

But Vegas is already an established venue for pool and is easy access to the whales. The celebs would be more likely to show up in Vegas and where they go the news media goes.

The IPT is building and the more publicity they get the better off they will be.

I guess we will all just have to wait and see what KT picks.

Is Orlando definately out? I wonder what the reason is for a change.

Hi Jake,

Due to the increased interest aroused by the MS/LJJ match, there have been better offers for venues, but the dates will have to change from Super Bowl weekend too. Looks like Feb. Hope they don't conflict with the last 2 weekends in Feb. with established dates of other big tourneys. Mike Massey told me he has a gig on Feb. 10-11 and is hoping it doesn't conflict.

i would have to say the 4 places that Slimshafty picked for the IPT seems to cover the country about perfect.If they hold more then 4 events a year then add Texas and Connecticut with a battle of the sexes in Hawaii right after the pro bowl. Forget about St. Louis,Tulsa or Denver,no one lives there anyway.
