I was initially very skeptical of Bonus Ball, but I've been won over. I think the game is difficult enough for the pros to make it entertaining. The 30 second shot clock also helps to limit the boredom. And make sure that they are not drinking it out of paper bags. Also show them where the wash rooms are so they are not off peeing on the carpet or in a door way somewhere.
I watched the first free stream, it was a nightmare. Watched the second for a bit and it was all I could take for a few minutes.
I spent the weekend watching the Cole Dickson Memorial Tourney. UStream. Other than a bit of buffering on Sat it was 100% better than the first 2 free Streams from Bonus ball.
What can I say, maybe its just me but I'm not ready for a new game. I have zero interest in orange and purple balls. Even if it hits TV I doubt that it will generate the amount of interest needed to make it past the first pilot show.
A couple of weeks ago I mentioned Bonus Ball to one of the regulars in the hall that goes for the BCA every year in Vegas. I jokingly asked him if he was going to take in any Bonus Ball. He smirked and said, "I'm going to Vegas for real pool".
You would probably have to offer free limo rides, free alcohol and pay the BCA players and even then, I doubt you'd get enuff to fill the stands.

As was mentioned earlier by another poster, the teamwork element is also a plus. I hope Bonus Ball is successful and I think if people approached it with somewhat of an open mind, it could take off
Good man!
Make sure you get the scoreboard also, adds to the laughs
Who ever is in charge should take your advice. I think your suggestions would help.
i agree he does have good ideas, the BB girls i seen look like they are in pain....I used to audition ring card girls for boxing(some one had to do it) we made sure they smailed and walked a certain way, we didnt want whores, or strippers, there is a look that a good ring card girl has and cadence to their walk to each of the 4 sides of the ring etc. If they couldnt follow the rules they were gone. Same for a BB girl, they need to be trained. I'm glad to help out if they want me to. I'd have the best girls there, looking happy within 2 weeks.

The quality on BB girls is not what it was. Barry Behrman picks them better and he has no taste. I dont want to hurt anyone's feelings just in case so ill leave it that.
Meh, I haven't seen one yet that I would kick out of bed...
at the risk of sounding like a big ol nit, i will say that i dont see the reason to pay to watch bb since there is a ridiculous amount of free pool online now that features stone champions like the pinoys, top euros or even older accustats piracy. Not to mention all the free content out there that features regional tours streaming, where you can get a good look at the better players from around the country (USA).
If people were looking to pay money for streaming, I personally think a better value for the dough is buying into Big Trucks yearly membership. You get alot more programming and variety of games from barbox 8/9/10, big table 8/9/10/1p, tournies and action matches. Plus he had an offer going where you get a free kamui tip too with the membership.
/end of my nit analysis/
Does anybody know if the archive section (previously taped matches) is available already or is it a work in progress?
One of the problems I have with streams is the time difference... prerecorded matches are the most convenient for me.
I've tried, but even as a pool and snooker player for the last 15 years can't help me wrap my head around the rules. I tend to lose interest pretty quick.
I think the scorings got to change. At least with other sports, even when u don't know what the hell is going on, you at least have an idea of when someone scores a goal.
I love to watch the free streams and will buy the streams when they are better quality. Go Minnesota!!
i'm gonna show it for my gf as a test; she likes snooker but doesn't play any cue game.
