It was 2AM and I am drunk but seeing new posts from Bernie (and about Bernie) enticed me to spend 30 minutes to lurk at AZB, read posts of Bernie's journeys and posts about him which are oftentimes funny. Now that my interest in pool has been reawakened by Bernie, I will shoot some balls before going to sleep.

Go Bernie, continue your dreams but stop posting :rolleyes: Peace out!

Good for pool? He's a non-factor in pool. Good for AZB? Yes and no.

When he posts as an amateur in awe of a new lucrative tour which he is honored to be a part of, he's a pretty good poster, despite his tendency to make the same point over and over.

When he expects his opinions to be given greater wight because he plays on the IPT, he is just plain annoying.

His biggest issue is that he feels that every original thought he has justifies startying a new thread. As of this instant, 92 out of 237 of his posts have began threads, a rate of 39%. By comparison, 123 out of my 4,793 posts began a thread, a rate of about 2 1/2%.

Finally, when he takes ignorant and disprespectful shots at the pool establishment, he is, by far, the worst poster on this forum.

Bernie can be a good AZB poster at times, but, other times ....... well, you get the picture.
 
am i good for pool? as a persoanlity YES! i'm funny and insightful. as a player? NO! i'm just a good damn 8-ball player, which doesn't cut it on the IPT. i feel if your not "world class" than forget about the IPT! now as a commentater in the booth,DOUBLE YES!! i would be the best ever! funny,insightful,and honest,with a clear speaking uplifting voice.
my main goal was to be a commentater for the IPT, but they are using sigel,fisher,dragoandandrews,which will be ok at best,and downright crappy at worst,anyhow,at least i'm honest about where i stand in the world of pool,many a player brags how wonderful they are,and fall way short, i know i can't hang with the best of them on the IPT,so at least i'm honest,but once again,without persoanlity pool is just science on green cloth.

I will say again stop saying you are good at pool. You are a C player. Nothing more. People on this board have seen you play or competed against you. The posters that I know have never lost to you. Please stop the lies.

That's an interesting statistical analysis that you've made regarding to threads started, to threads responded to ratio.Personally I find myself at a small hair over 13%.I've made 1,334 enteries and started 175 threads.

The lower the number indicates to me how good of a listener one is and the higher number indicates how much one likes to yak.The listener is less self centered than the yakker who's main focus is to be heard.

The majority of the threads I've started, I'm happy with.Like Bernie however, there are times that I really shouldn't have pushed that "submit reply" button.There are a few threads that I really regret starting.

That pretty much sums up how I feel, and I'm sure alot of others feel about Bernie's posts.

By selecting a short clause out of my post, you have misrepresented its content. I'm sure you meant no harm, but I'd rather that you had handled it differently.

Sorry about that sjm, I went back and edited it to include your entire post from earlier in the thread. No harm meant, the intent of your original post was crystal clear and the way I only included a small part of it made it seem like something it wasn't.

I am at 6%. Though probably half of the threads I started were silly ones that don't actually contribute anything. But if they made just one person giggle it was worth it.:)

I think it is worth mentioning, for all of the jabbing Bernie puts up with, I can't recall him having a go back at anybody. He seems to take critiscm very well, forum wise any how.

Well, hey, that was fun. I figured out of my 3650 posts, 471 were starters and that equals 7.75% and most of those are probably in NPR.

Bernie has certainly added character to AZB and the IPT. :p

How in the hell do you consider yourself a 'good damn 8ball player' if you can't run out????? What in the hell is wrong with you? I swear, you have mental problems.
 
I'm probably gonna feel pretty stupid when I get the answer to this but how do you check to see how many threads you've started? I imagine my % would be really, really low;)
 
Bernie, one thing though, how can you make a comment on someone's plays or choices specially when he/she plays better than you?

I went to my public profile and then clicked "find all threads started by..." or something to that effect.

You would be at 2.6% with a total of 47 threads.

*sigh* I'm bored.
