It's all good, thanks for tuning me in, I musta been losing some of my beer at that point, lol. Heck he was going jabberwacky speed for like 2 hours, I got writers cramp!


Other tidbits from my notes if anyone missed it or cares:

- ABP got something done recently with the BCA, not sure what. He mentioned the WPA as well then.

- JA thought the Sardo, and then the Magic Rack would ruin one of the best games on the planet - 9 ball.

- "No other sport gives the ball back to who scores a TD, a goal, a basket, except pool. How are we going to get viewership if sometimes you rarely get to see your favorite player play?" Advocates alternate break with a regular rack.

- "Sponsorship, sponsorship, sponsorship"

- "Was a rough, rough week on AZ. I was at fault, and X, Y, Z, were too. Got out of hand. Again, I was at fault. Will NEVER let that happen again. No good for the sport, how would a sponsor come in after seeing that? People had to pick sides. Time to move on. Don't know if I'll post on AZ again. I got hammered out. Just want what's best for pool, and am on the players' side."

- ABP: Has to make decisions, tough ones. We've made some mistakes in our 3.5 years.

- When he was 13 and Earl was apprised of JA being a big fan, Earl came up to him and played him 2 racks. Earl called him "the kid" back then. Johnny won one of those 2 racks. Earl pulled up. ;) Said he picked up on some valuable skills and took them in, like his bridge, others - not so much.

its over, just saw this from Scott Frost

Well it's a sad but positive day... I just enrolled into the best dealing school here in Arizona. Since bonus balls demise it has turned my life upside down... There are not enough big tournaments for me a year to make a living and my long journey of big money games and beating the best are over. I've accomplished everything plus some I've set out to do like champion of "legends of 1pocket, derby city, us open, music city, 7time AZ state champ, and I truly believe I've been ranked #1 on earth playing 1pocket for several years now. that in itself is a dream come true! It's my time to put the cue down and officially say I'm retiring from pro pool. I will still play a few events like derby a year for fun, but as for a living it's nearly impossible unless I was a world champion 10-ball player with no life or family... It's a terrible shame that pro Billiards never got big enough to motivate me to be a top rotation player, "wich I know I could of been" just not enough gold at the end of the rainbow for me. So it's official I Scott Frost captain of the 1st place team the Phoenix fire is retired as of now. I love all my fans and supporters and you will forever be in my memories and dreams!!! -Scott Frost- aka: the freezer

Bonus ball sets now collectors items

With the league seemingly now over, the ball sets winn now become collectors items.

Anyone interested i now only have 3 sets left... RIP bonus ball.....
 
Lee, I will take a set of Bonus Balls off your hands if you give me 20 dollars. Let me know and I can PM you my Pay Pal address.

The 20 will be for storage fees at my house as they will no doubt take up space for the rest of my life. And my poor wife will have to dust the box a couple of times a year.

I dunno, maybe I can make purple and yellow rings out of them. Save me from having to steal balls from bar boxes.

How did you get three sets? Was that part of your payment plan.

Some guys get expensive camera equipment and the others get ball sets.

I just checked the WPBL website: the next match starts in just under 20 hours!


Ok, the clock has been indicating an upcoming match since the BB hiatus/termination.

Some people in the Biz say Bonus Ball is dead while others in the Biz say Bonus Ball will be back. I thought the whole thing was hokey as hell but that is just me. Sucks for the players that were counting on the Bonus Ball biz to work out.
