Is cheating apart of pool/sports?

I don't cheat, besides that if maybe an opponent didn't notice a ball in hand he should of been watching for in a money match (I wanna get paid you know?) I like the extra challenge and don't like to cheat however, and I might let someone slide on it to provide extra incentive to put them in their place by beating them fair and square.

There once was a husband and wife team in our Scotch league. They called themselves the Dirty Martinis.

She was the bad one. She knew all the dirty little cheats. They were so obvious but the real funny part was the excuses she came up with to justify her moves was worth the price of admission.

But, by the end of the match, you got so tired of listening to the BS, you were glad it was over.

They once got a year time out for cheating and all you had to do was play them once and you knew exactly why.

When you have a fun league like Scotch, like, what is the purpose or reward for cheating and on top of that being so blatantly obvious in doing so.

It always made me wonder if people like that also conducted their personal lives in the same manor. I bet they do.

I almost felt sorry for her husband at times. She was quite the looker and I also had no doubt that she wouldn't think twice about cheating on him and some how being able to justify it with some cheap excuse.
