Is Chicago Bad Action Town?

I spoke to someone that plays very high level1 pocket in the chciago area. He knows Ike's game and says he would need 2 hit and the pick to play him and that he would need to be in top form to like it. Ike just plays that strong. He should be spotting anything anyone wants at his speed to anyone but chris G in the area.
Think about it, buddy would offer the 6 and out to shortstops back in the day just to get action and it worked.

Matching up is an efficient economy.

No way your friend plays high level 1P and needs two hit and the pick from Ike. I play good not high level 1P. Ike gave me 9/7, we played from 9pm to 3am at Red Shoes. I was up two games. No wonder Ike says there's no gamble in Chicago. Lock artists everywhere

It's probably semantic, but I think that if you can beat Ike with 9-7 then you do play high level 1P.

Many of us here have dealt with jobbers, car mechanics, roofers and trades people of all kinds. The smart person will then check further to see if this person or company is reputable & good to do business with. In a pool match it's EXACTLY THE SAME. If one thinks they want to do business with someone they don't trust, don't know, or???????? then they'll get what they might want, and NOT want. But if the word on the street or the Better business bureau says they are reputable, your more willing to give them a Shot. If one develops a relationship the chances of success are long term, and if you lose you able to come back for more. Nowadays tho most think lifes matters are just a click away, when in fact reality is JUST THE OPPOSITE.

Oui. Since we're still talking about it, it's worth noting that gambling culture varies from north to south and from east to west, and from rich to poor.

And in some places it's overt, while in others it's fairly covert.
It depends on the company you keep and the game you are playing.
In Chicago money is always changing hands somewhere.

why would anyone want to bet small amounts at pool, and then have to hope you get paid, lots better things to gamble at, where money is LOTS better with LOTS less hassle.
