lets not forget this table 10ft makes hugh difference .. he wouldn't have lost 5 matches if 9ft table thats for sure.. different game on ft.. lots tougher than 9ft table by a mile

Darren, I and I think many others REALLY want to see you take on SVB in a TAR 8-ball match. Any interest on your side for a match such as that?

And in your opinion for pro 8-ball specifically is the 10-foot the table it should be played on?

Reyes is almost sixty. He likes to play. The problem is he can't play in the seniors. As he said he was kicked out for being too good in senior tour. So what is left for him? Continue playing with the big boys. He has no choice. But he still there. I don't expect him to do good in 14.1, but he almost win it. Anyway, without Reyes the world might still be playing like the sixties. That I will still think that the US has the best players. Reyes changes everything.

Hell no.

All I have to say is that 8 ball round robin tournament was at the aftermath of a really busy week for him in the NYC/ tristate area.
I am guessing he did not get much sleep, but who knows.

I would not put a lot of stock in that showing to tell you jack sh!t about his game. Just my humble opinion.

Peace

Hey Guys. Had a talk with a friend which is also a Cue maker in phillipines and got all these inside news. The reason Efren has been playing not as well is not exactly due to his health, eyes, age... those are actual small factors but he has been more interested in Poker these days. It would make sense because where will he get the time to practice? It's quite sad actually as my idol is him but if he continues to do what he has been doing, yes he is really done :/

Not quite done, but close....

Yes, it was a big disappointment to see Efren struggle on that tight Diamond 5x10 table. His break is very weak and he hesitated on long shots, sometimes jumping up during the shots and muttering to himself whenever he got out of line, which was often. That beautiful effortless stroke with pinpoint cueball control was not present most of the time. Efren was bothered by the 30 second shotclock in his first match, when he ran out of time and could not kick on his 8-ball, thus having a foul called and losing that critical game. In his next match he missed a short shot shooting lefthanded. Later, he missed a long straight in 8-ball. In his last match he thought that he could win on the 3-foul rule by snookering his opponent, but the 3-foul rule was not in force during this tournament. Efren wasn't aware of that, even though all the rules were carefully discussed beforehand. Efren just wasn't sharp. His confidence was shaken. He looked tired and old. Efren probably was the greatest player in the last forty years or so, but no longer can he compete with the young guns.
This is only my opinion; YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary).

DAZ, Congrats on a great event. You make it look effortless when you get that white ball under control. Alex caught a bit of a gear on you coupled with a few, and I say ONLY a few missed balls on your end.

You are a real class act.

Didn't he just make the finals of the world 14.1 a week earlier?

Maybe he wasn't feeling well or maybe the floods in the P I were on his mind and he wasn't focused on pool.
