Is it a "Meucci Originals"??? Never seen anything like this...

Looks legit to me. I believe That is a very early Meucci. I may have seen one or two around Memphis back in the day.

I have only seen the metal collars on much newer cues. I can't find anything like it but the MS-4 or the Star of David which has the name on the bottom of the butt cap.

I love this part, at least he's trying to be specific.

"It is a light colored wood, and wrapped with a thin rope like material"

I like the Cue

Bob probably built it in his garage. Old Dick used to custom order steel joint models.
Thanks. I might have to own that one.
Nick :)

Kind of looks like someone worked on it to make it not a flat face joint.

With the shorter length, I wouldn't doubt that the butt cap was shortened too.

I have a friend who still plays with his every week. Around a $50 cue when new.

it cost more than that new

it cost more than that new

:scratchhead:

We're talking...1975. How much was it then?

Where I lived, no one ever paid retail.

My first MO-1, new back around 1976 was $28 and if you wanted an extra shaft it was $16.

"Deadnutz" got it right it is a MO-5, I have never seen anything Meucci with a piloted shaft before it really must be a VERY early model. The "rope" doesn't even look that bad either...
