Is it ok to just look at Temu?

I came across TEMU about a year ago. I've been pleasantly surprised.
I have NOT had any negative issue with my credit card. I(t's pretty much same as buying from Amazon or EBAY.

TEMU's business model is Manufacturer DIRECTLY to Customer (M to C.)

I've bought a Sharp looking "AUTOMATIC" Watch for $25. (Who cares if it breaks in 2 years.)
Well designed Sneakers (NIKE Pegasus Knock off) for $18. (I bought two pair.) Which I still wear everyday...
REIKI Power Stone. $8-15
T Shirt $7
Ankle Brace with Heating Pad... Etc... FREE SHIPPING w over $20 purchase

Pool equipment. I wouldn't bother.

FOLKS, Use Common Sense.... You can't expect Nordstrom quality goods at these prices. If you're super fussy person DON'T BOTHER.
BUT you might be pleasantly surprised.
I've bought quite a bit from Temu, and a lot of the stuff they sell isn't bad at all. The key is to be careful and selective in what you buy. As far as the pool stuff is concerned (and they have a lot of stuff in this category) again be selective. I bought pool ball carriyng case that was of very good quality but I probably wouldn't buy a pool cue from them if you're looking for a quality cue. This is not a fly by night company, they're actually huge and have advertised during the Super Bowl if that tells you something. So no problem with trusting them with your credit card anymore that Amazon or E-Bay. Again be selective and you might be surprised.

Ok, I didn't even know Temu existed, but my dad discovered it earlier this year.

He was looking for some socks that he liked and decided to try online rather than going to the store.

He found a pack of 12 socks for something like $8 and ordered them. Of course they shipped from China and he got a kick out of tracking updates that showed their progress, including when his $8 pack of 12 socks cleared customs...

When they arrived, the $8 pack of 12 socks were in a bag emblazoned with the warning...

...Dry Clean Only! 😂

I did not see a Pay Pal option when I was looking, but it's been a while. I just looked again and I see Pay Pal Google Pay and Venmo, I guess I can try a few of the gadgicks I have looked at , lol thanks
Plus, irrespective of where we shop online, we should all have a credit card that is solely used for online things and easily monitored. It's just good sense.

Debit card online? No FN way.

Yep. I've bought off alibaba and temu with zero issues. used ppal and had not one problem.

We have fake cues now. I’ve seen what I thought to be a predator and it wasn’t.

counterfeit cues and cue tips have been around a good while. not counting bushkas and the like, hyped brands like moori and predator were victims of counterfeits going back 20 years or so

ANYTHING desirable in the US is going to get faked/knock'd-off. Too big a market full of possession obsessed suckers who will buy anything to keep up appearances.

You buy anything at Target/WalMart? If so you already are. In fact, try living in today's world and NOT by anything Chinese. Good luck with that.
You are absolutely right, thank you for pointed out what should be common knowledge to any thinking shopper in today's world!

Very true, But it is a little different being able to see, feel and inspect the items in the store before purchasing. compared to who knows what you'll get on these websites.

Also sidenote. Have you seen they changed/ replaced the Made in China tags? A lot of product now say something like product of PRC i think
Because made in china is so well known, and not in a good way.

I'm curious what you guys think about Playing off the rail. I would love to have PMs about it, I give you my word, I will never post your names, if I choose to discuss any of them .
My curiosities are
1. What others say the book was about.
2. What outcome, do you think each of the 3 main characters had in mind, as a best scenario.
You can post here also if you choose , but I think there will be some controversy to deal with.
If you reply to me , there is no right or wrong answer, just our opinions.
As I said I am just curious,

WTF????????????

I remember when that book came out, I think it was right around the time that Tony was setting up 'The Q Club' in San Francisco sometime in the early 90's. It was a good book entitled 'Playing Off The Rail' a pool hustler's journey, written by Davie McCumber. Tony of course was the protagonist. Definitely worth a read. I still have a copy in my pool library shelf!

As a matter of fact I do not. I despise both places. I appreciate your attempt to argue with a stranger though. Better luck next time. Also, congrats on the most ignorant argument I’ve seen this year. If you are so unintelligent that you cannot figure out how not to give money to China, that’s a You problem.

Ok pard, whatever. Its IMPOSSIBLE to live today and not buy something sourced from China. You think US built cars/trucks don't use Chinese parts? You my friend are clueless if you think you can live today and not use something from China. You have a fone/tv/computer? Washer/dryer? Daily household supplies? Pretty much everything used today is in someway connected to China.

I just searched GM and China. They source over TWENTY MILLION parts PER MONTH from almost 200 CHINESE suppliers. The average GM vehicle is roughly 60% US made/sourced. Thinks that's bad? Go check ANYTHING electric. The average use of Chinese parts/assembly skyrockets. Buying only 'Made in USA' products sounds great but is a fantasy.
