I think that is a bit harsh on Matchroom. I am sure they would sell the rights to live broadcast to US and any other European (or Asian for that matter) broadcaster that is willing to pay the money. If Matchroom could make more by selling it to multiple broadcasters than giving exclusivity to Sky, they would do it....it is a business after all..

P.S. I love working with both Jim and Jerry, two of the best in my book. Good clear voices, excellent knowledge of the game and know when to talk and when to just observe. That's important, believe me. I've seen far too many "commentators" gabbing away when they should be watching and listening instead.

Let's put it this way. He was hired to announce by Matchroom Sports, a UK company. He's on their payroll and he's there to do a job. He's smart to remain neutral. Commentators should not pull for any team - they are there to do a job.

Jay H & Jim W are both tools!

Jay H and Jim W are very bias to europe. All Jim W ever talks about is "well when I played professional snooker" Well Jim W when you played pro snooker you sucked and never won a thing. That would be the reason your butt is sitting in a chair and your lips are smacking a mic! Im so tired of hear him run his suck about snooker when I am watching 9-ball. He did the same thing at the US Open 9-ball. Always saying how much harder snooker is then pool. I once heard Jim W compare pool and snooker like this....Snooker is like tennis and Pool is like badmitten. Wow Jim W insult pro pool players a little more. Well then why do these snooker players always seem to get their butts handed to them in 9-ball. You would think they would run away with all the money every tourney if snooker players are so much better. So YES to answer your question Jay H & Jim W are very bias indeed!

Actually I come from Russian Jews of the 19th Century. My great grandfather grew up in Cossack country. He immigrated to New York at the turn of the last century. His son (my grand dad) was a poor tailor and my father went from the tenaments of Brooklyn to medical school and made a good life for me and my siblings. My dad had a bent nose and puffy ears from all the fighting he had to do as a jew boy in New York. He sure didn't look like the surgeon he was.

Dad didn't care for sports and never went to one of my games when I was a kid. He HATED me playing pool! He did teach me one valuable lesson though. How to throw a straight right! :thumbup:
