Is this a legitimate TS sneaky pete ?

Looks legit.

there are a few things about this cue that are important in determining its value.

Is it, in fact, an ivory joint or is it a substitute?

Straightness of all pieces.

Are shafts full or close to full?

If the answers are yes to ivory, yes to full shafts or close to full and all straight then this TS is def worth $1300 and could possibly go for in the $1500 range.

Big pin with ivory joint is a big deal and the 2nd shaft is a value adder for sure.

I am certain someone, or a few someones, will want this to be their playing cue.

best,
brian kc

so many making plain jane cues that hit well, for small amounts of money. if you are in awe of a name of a person who may of not even made it himself, then pay whatever and be happy.

I have a TS sneaky with a Cocobolo joint and butt cap. When I bought mine from Cue and Cushion in St. Louis they said TS only made a dozen of the Coco joints.

could you post a pic of the cocobolo joint please?

Doubt it is ivory joint !

Definitely a Scruggs in my opinion!

Price range $900 to $1100

$1300 is high.

These are rare with a fiber joint! Makes for stiffness that many love. A true sneaky pete tends to be whippy and have a ton of flex at the joint section.

These cues are the Rolls-Royce of the ts sneakys...

I love sneakies and have about a dozen. From a slightly fancy Bob Frey to dead on production cues Muller and McDermott M11B. And one 3 piece traveler made from 2 house cues. But the closest thing to a modern sneaky that I use is a McDermott Harley Davidson cue. A Walmart Budweiser cue would be even better but I do have standards. Friction tape wrap is always a nice touch.

Thanks alot pilot
I assume the coconolo joint is sleeved to make a flat faced wood to wood joint ….yes?

If you haven’t acquired this cue yet, re-read post #14 but if you’ve decided to pass on it, then refer the owner
in my direction. I think you should act quickly to get it because the advice I offered you appears pretty spot on.

how can a cue with an ivory? joint be a sneaky pete?
I agree.. I love the way it looks but imo a true sneaky Pete just looks like a house cue and a house cue doesn’t have a joint.
