is this an GC2?

Here's an interesting source for documents on Brunswick tables, including some pictures, specifications documents, and installation manuals: http://www.mediafire.com/pooltablemanuals

[Note -- the comparison chart I mentioned earlier is one of these documents.]

I have seen the comparison chart before. I really feel like someone made it with best intentions but it is not complete. It is very interesting though. It was argued on here years ago that only GC II's had the small extrusions as opposed to the ones that went the entire length of the apron. That was found to be wrong. I trust the word of Jay Speilberg who has been a pool room mechanic since the early 70's. I wouldbe interseted in what he makes of the "Chart".

According to the Brunswick GC comparative chart, the GC II had dark, rosewood-like stain on all wood surfaces - no white or pastel colored paints would appear on a GCII.

The thing that leads me to think its a GCII are the captured nut rail hold downs instead of the figure 8 plates. But it definitely had Superspeed Monarchs on it, which should make it a GCI, I still have the original Monarch cushions.

Mine has the same rail nut design, the shortened apron extrusions, the extrusion fixed ball storage box (early GCs were screwed to the end frame member), and the leveling feet. Yet, painted blue and white, with full white skirting, I still consider it a GC I. The cushions are original but I failed to take notice of which rubber is applied when I recovered shortly after Oct/2013 purchase. My long term plan is to apply new rubber with proper sub-rail re-cal, yet it plays much to my satisfaction as is. Using Simonis 760, up and down speed is a hair more than four lengths, about right for straight pool.

BTW, I have never seen a GC II manual, referenced by an above poster. Can anybody post or link to one?

Look at the ball box trim, it's not silver like all the 1's are, there's your first clue....1's changed to the floating capture nut before the 2's became out.

My ball box trim is silver and the feet were a dull silver/natural aluminum color, I polished them till they were shiny.
