Hello everyone.

I hope i do not offend the seller in this post. And I am just hoping that i might be able to learn something.

Its about this Szamboti cue one ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/2002-BARRY-SZAMBOTI-cue_W0QQitemZ7229833473QQcategoryZ21212QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

How do we know if it is really a Barry Szamboti cue? I know that alot of people is bidding on it.

The reason i am asking is because i could have swore that i just played with that cue yesterday. It belongs to a friend and it is a production cue. It looks exactly like it. Maybe i should try to take a picture of the cue in my hand.

High End Cues

The cue in question is being sold by a forum member. His name is Ken and his user name is HighEndCues. I have touched base with Ken several times and had an opportunity to meet Ken at VF. Nice guy!

I saw the cue in person at VF and maybe I should have jumped on it at that time but my sights were on something else. The cue in the auction was offered to Forum members first in this thread prior to going to e-bay. The cue is awesome and the pictures in the thread are very nice as well.

I am pretty sure you are bidding on an authentic B. Szamboti and I can say there may be many forum members in the mix of bidding but with a private auction only Ken knows who they may be.

Hope this helps,
Myron

It's a 100% guaranteed authentic Barry Szamboti cue. We had it about 3 years ago and know the cue.

Yeah. This question coming from . . . . "zeeder"???? :D

The cue is stunning in person.

Kenny from Highendcues is a great guy... and i believe its real.. from seeing in person the other cues he has, there is no reason to believe its not.. and like everybody else here said it was real..

B Szamboti

yeah its real... But here's something to ponder. Why is this BS currently at 5800.00 w/ 23 bids getting all this action, and no one has picked up the rosewood or the titlist BS on classiccues

Mike, good question, but simply put, I think there are more buyers for ebony pointed cues. More people just prefer ebony....don't understand it. We've see this to be the case in nearly every cuemaker who does traditional looking stuff, not just the big ones.

And the reserve has not been met?
But I cannot guess why classic cues still has the Rosewood cue when it was on sale at $4500 or something close.

I do like the one in the auction - ebony/ivory with a Bushka Ring.
That is my dream cue...

ebony

Interesting...

Then why hasnt the 2 ebony pointed BS on your site sold or the Laura cue? I just think people like "pretty colors" :D

Joe at Classic Cues has some good items at good prices.
The cue I like the best of all I have seen is the ebony on ebony cue at the Classic Cues site.
Wish I could justify the money for a cue like that but I could not.
But the Laura cue does nothing for me...

So I will be watching the bidding on the cue on e-bay to see if the reserve is met and if it sells.

I don't want to open up an old discussion, but this could be an example of why some people believe that cue designs should be protected from theft.

Hey Guys,
I 100% guarentee this is a authentic B. Szamboti... Barry spent all of Saturday in my booth at Valley Forge, and looked at the cue personally...

Thanks guys for the nice words....
If anyone has interest in the Szamboti please PM me...
Best,
Ken
