Lift with your legs
I do feel the WEIGHT of the object ball using TOI. It is a reassuring feeling.... funny in a way. It's like lifting with your legs rather than just your arms and back. It digs the ball into the pocket with a real live stroke when you need to use a stronger stroke than you would dare if you hit it without TOI. (Most people don't understand what I just said, but I have a feeling you will. LOL)
My problem is that I vacillate between using TOI and shooting to play ball speed off a rail. It scares the crap out of me when I am in a sweaty match, so I just go with what I know. I am practicing TOI however, and I know it will take many days of 3-6 hour sessions to fully milk it for every last ounce of win it has in it. It's another tool to put in my arsenal and I know it will yield some solid wisdom.
As for us getting together for a match or thirty seven, it would be a bucket list event for me. But unless you head to the Tampa area, I will just have to settle for you published works.

You're welcome, Lesh, the one crucial factor about using TOI (or whatever you use to jump up two levels) is it requires a commitment.....you can't just "dip your toe in the water"....it takes a 3 hour dedication to "real eyes" what the touch of inside can really do.
The position play is one of the things that's enhanced because you can use the same type stroke on the majority of your shots. The cue ball is only 6 oz's, however it feels heavier when using TOI.....spin actually makes it feel lighter and the cue ball will tend to "get away from you" more often.
I wish you were close to Dallas/Ft Worth and I'd give you a free TOI LESSON to speed up your understanding of this powerful technique. I've been giving a lot of lessons lately and I'm getting more and more effective in communicating and demonstrating EXACTLY how this system can be utilized in anyone's game....and remember, 'The TOI Game is the Teacher' ....it just takes the willingness to practice the TOI principles.
