Happy Thanksgiving to all of my fellow AZBers. Just curious. Is your poolroom open today? My room, Classic Billiards in Phoenixville, Pa. opens at 6pm. How about your room?

It they are not they should be. I used to be open every holiday and they would be very busy days. The phone would start ringing and not stop with "Are you open".

I worked many a holiday in the pool room. I can recall being brought meals by the great mr. Alger on more than one occasion too.

The 2 around here are closed. But then again, they close for almost any reason. The room I frequented in Long Beach was open 365 for the longest of times. It finally broke down and close at Christmas.
 
My room is most definitely open!!! In fact I am going to head downstairs to shoot a few right after I finish perusing these forums.:grin:

Our only pool hall closed a couple of years ago and I don't see another opening as there are not enough hard core players around to support a pool hall. But. as many of you know I recently retired and got my 9' Rebco table set up in my big garage so I am good to go and I am open about any time some one wants to play. Life is good!
 
Jimmy's Pro Billards in St Paul is open tonight, but I think I refer from putting any step out of the hotel again tonight ... Dang is that cold :eek:
 
Pool room here used to be open 24/7/365. Now that they took out a bunch of tables and added a bar and restaurant, they are closed today and Christmas. So much for a 50 year tradition.
 
Closed all day, open at noon tomorrow. Getting off work at 6AM, take an nap, and make it there by 11:45 after eating a lunch somewhere.
 
We were open by noon. Open all night til 4am.
I worked every holiday (day) for the last couple years. Usually not a problem but this year i had someone cover for me.
I heard that it was quiet which was a surprise, i remember being preety busy last year by 3pm.
Open on Xmas too.

Sounds like they made the right financial decision.
