Isnt This The Wanted/forsale Section ??

Raffles IMHO are a creative way to move cues. Legality aside, as long as it's all on the up and up, who cares. Internet raffles and auctions, pre-ebay, have been around as long as usenet, think mid 90's. Anyone claiming to be the inventor of said auctions is full of himself. Pre-ebay people would run their own auctions and just update them nightly, it was very popular on the baseball card and other collectible newsgroups. This is not a new practice.

I have absolutely nothing against a raffle, especially those held at a pool hall or event, or a charity raffle, etc. It is just that it appears to be a form of gambling, IMO. Again, I am not against a friendly little pool game for money, etc either. The issue as I see it is the potential for problems to AZ Billiards itself...I mean the site, especially since it is nation/world wide. If the legal folks happen to look in and see all the raffles, etc, then they may view the site as a gaming site, and AZB is not a gaming site.

Now, that may be a little over the top, but I always like to think of "what is the worst case scenario?"....OK, so I am a pessimist. I would have started a Pessimist's Club, but I was sure that it wouldn't work.
