Well .. I don't have any of John Showman's creation ... yet :D

I googled and except for Lucky's site, there aren't many showman cue photos on the internet and the cuemaker's website doesn't have cue gallery. So ..

If you own one or many, I'd love to see what the cue looks like and comments on his workmanship and that most important question .. DOES IT HAVE THE MONSTER HIT????? :D

DISCLAIMER: I can't even run a single rack although I did make 13 balls playing straight pool once :(

I presently own 1 Showman cue, One of the best cues I have owned, PLAYABILITY IS JOHNS 1st PRIORITY, but his point and veneer work is some of the best I have seen.
Do a search for SHOWMAN CUUES here, there are several good pictures posted

Yeah. I remember Dak21st has or had a couple of beauties. I know he still has one that is beautiful!

Maybe merylane himself will jump in here and post some photos of his handywork!

I love stacked veneers.... I think the rosewood cue on the far left is my favorite... Simple, yet gorgeous.

Presently don't have any but have owned a few and handled several others. I can say without hesitation that the quality of John's cues are right up there on par with the best in the business.

Get one.....maybe you can squeeze another couple of balls out of it !! :D

You might just contact John and inquire about ordering a cue. I did and he sent several nice pictures of his work. Mine should be done soon.

Soon = several years . . . . :p

Seriously, John and his wife are great to deal with. Just contact him.

Scott,
" Very Well Said"
John is great to deal with, but easy' on the several years"
He wants to expand his shop, and cut down on the completion time.
I really hope so, 'cause I am gonna order 1 in 2007:D :D :D :D

I just sold that cue to Vinniebabarooch. Very clean work, solid player...
I had to make room for a Tascarella (ivory joint, smoothest brown leather wrap I have ever seen!)...

pics coming....

That is where the ebony cue I had from the same lot ended up...
Very pretty cue, excellent work and now just going to wait on a fancier cue.

I recently ordered one from John and he was a good guy on the phone when we talked about my design. I'm incorporating barbells, windows and notched diamonds into it. He said the veneer colors I chose were his favorite as well. I just wish I would have ordered one sooner as I've got quite awhile before my turn is up.

Little different

I too, have one on order.

It was 5 years out about a year ago. So maybe 3-4 by now. I am having him do something a little different for me.

LOL
