Does anyone know if the players have been paid?

Dear Qatar Snooker and Billiards Foundation,
The players have played hard and the victor has earn his place in history. Unfortunately for them, the event never existed to the outside world, as your federation has failed to share it with us. The winner of the event has been robbed of the glory that is rightfully theirs.
Please consider actually promoting this event next year. We do appreciate that you've revived the event after it's disappearance in 2008, however it's wasted effort when not properly publicized. This is one of the biggest events in the pool world, and should be treated as such.

Basically you had to be a real poolroom detective to know what was going on over there. Fortunately we have many of them on AZ. If you were not hooked into this site, forget about it.
Were you over there Jay? If not, then you usually have the inside scoop on....well...everything.
Any idea what they intend to do with that footage that they shot? I'm referring to seeing production cameras in that youtube clip when Busti snaps off the 9.

Thanks Nathan, but I'm out of the loop here. Jews don't fare so well in the Middle East if you get my drift. I suspect that these matches will air later in Europe and Asia. There is a good market for top flight pool on TV over there. We may eventually see them on youtube.

Does anyone own world pool championship? Or can anyone just organize a tourney and call it world pool championship? Or does an organizer who wants to have a WPC just need to get the blessings of some governing body.
Who are the governing body? I know FIFA is for soccer. etc.

LOL, i think congrats are in order on acquiring your new title. You just can't let Bustamante hold on to the title a little longer can't you.

I remember long time ago, playing pool and watching WPC live on TV. I miss those days. I think the game has fallen so far down. To think i once as hoping that it will soon be included into the Olympics!
The only good thing that came out of this WPC was Bustamante winning it! No offence to the other competitors. They are good too. But i think he deserves to be a world champion.
