Some thoughts,

I used to put things up for sale here and have no problem selling them in a few minutes to a few days at the extreme out side. Now I could offer a hundred dollar bill for $62.50 shipped and insured and Still end up putting it on eBay. Now some Jackass says' I'll Buy It', and is never to be heard from again.
The trick used to be to try to keep your listing on the front page or it would be on the third page in two hours and no one would see it until you noticed how many pages back it had gotten and gave it a BUMP. Now...Well now, it just aint the same.

I used to post pics of some nice cues in the gallery and they would be gone to the next page in a matter of hours or maybe sometimes a whole day. The last post I posted in the gallery was seven days ago and as of now it's still in the center of the fist page.

Chris Tate. Chris Tate was banned from the remains of this sight! W.T.F.?? He was the best thing this sight ever had as an Allie or an asset! Yes I know, among several other fantastic personalities. Many of the more interesting people (thankfully not all) have moved on or just don't participate as often or have been banned from what seems to be a slowly sinking ship. I assume they were not interested in returning. It was kind of like the wild west here at times, but now it's more like the tamed ass beaten down remains of California with a rule for everything and everyone ruled. I found myself kind of bored wandering around the place lately and, well, 'IT JUST AINT THE SAME'

Wanted; Carbon fiber shaft cheap. A good one though, I hate cheap shafts.
For Sale; A really nice cue made by xyz that has been flipped six times and $$$ added each time RARE OFFERING!
Ask the cue maker: Will wax ruin the finish on my butt? Is an Ld shaft going to make me play like a Pro? What tip is magic?
Things just aint the same.

There's also a huge boatload of plain stupid postings and conversations not related to Pool at all. It makes it extremely hard to sort through all the BS and get to anything that you're actually wanting.

In my lifes experience beware of anyone that tells you how honest they are or says trust me, or believe me ! They might be just who they say rhey are, but I want proof!

you only get scammed if you are looking to steal something and dont take the time and effort to make sure the buyer or seller is legit. or if you are not smart enough to figure out how to do it or too lazy.
its amazing to me. at least to me that people send their goods or money to someone they dont even know the name of. or where they live or their real phone number. then complain how they have been taken.

That’s not true at all. Lol everyone has to have a first sale. I try when I’ve bought to buy from people with a good history but maybe they are new to the sales forum so you take a chance.

I know I would catch shit because I don’t offer a refund if you don’t like how a cue plays lol that’s not my problem. You took the risk buying a cue you never hit with. All I care is the cue was shipped in the condition that I said it was. If you don’t like how it hits now you can sell it to someone lol I’m not a dealer so I don’t give refunds.

You can add "good christians" deacons, and preachers to the list! Anytime I have just met someone and they tell me they are a good christian, deacon, preacher, or priest I cover my wallet! For every one of these people that spoke truth I have met at least a dozen that weren't speaking truth!

One of my best friends is a preacher and one of the best men I ever met, deceased now, was a preacher, and a politician! Talk about screw up all the curves! He broke all of the "rules" concerning people to be trusted and not trusted, my rules anyway. He was a liberal democrat, my opposite, but I voted for him. I figured putting an honest man in office should be an interesting experiment!

By and large I would be more inclined to trust people in bars and pool halls than those I met in a churchyard.

I wouldn't buy a major collectors item from a newcomer unless I could hold it in hand. I have been known to drive hundreds of miles to do just that. Made a few deals just like that. I like to travel anyway. Make a deal on the net, tell them I will hand them cash when I get there!

When it comes to how a cue hits, if there are no odd noises and it is in the usual range of hits, it is what it is. For everybody that likes it, somebody will dislike it. I will say if it hits hard or soft to me but for the most part hit is easily changed. If I get something I think is really odd I will sell it locally and let somebody hit with it before buying.
