It takes an athlete...
I just got my *ss handed to me at my weekly one hole league. I lost horribly but it did not affect me like it should, like it would an athlete. I simply said, "Darn." If I was an athelete I would have said, "I am going to come practice everyday, not sleep, not eat, just practice." But, unfortunately, I am not like that. I played sports when I was younger but it was never my life. Now, my sister is an athlete. She played nearly every sport her schools offered and exelled at every one. She would stop at nothing to improve. Mostly because she had the desire and drive to be the best in each sport. I realized you really need to have a desire for improvement to be even decent at this game. Do not get me wrong, I love to play, and I love to win, but I do not practice in the place of things I usually do (Like sleep, or eat). I think the problem is that my desires lie in bodybuilding and education. I guess you could say I am an athlete for eduction. Bodybuilding is a 24 hr. "hobby". It is a lot more than 2 hours in the gym everyday. Trust me. And getting a decent education is niether cheap nor easy. Just needed to get my thoughts out.
