Hey azers
Just need your thoughts on this one. I`ve done lots of deals here on AZB.
Isn`t the itrader report used so members can leave other members feedback good or bad about there transactions they have had.
I`ve had 2 deals with azers in the past 6 months that they both received there products but no itraders were given. If they say or you know they got there products and they say there happy with them. Shouldn`t an itrader confirm this. I do not have nor do I wish to have the ''top itrader rating of all times on AZB'' just want it known that the deal went smooth & the customers happy with there product, thats all. As some of you azers know I always follow up with PMs asking if you received your products yet. So am I asking for anything out of the ordinary when asking for an itrader? Thanks for your thoughts & have a good day.
Jeff

agreed

I was thinking the same thing. once I found out HOW to use itrader I went back and gave all my transactions positive feedback simply because all my transactions went smooth. Only half or less than half responded with any feedback.. So what is the point of itader ??

I had the same thing happen Jeff, I bought items and left I-traders for them but I never recieved any from the 4 others. I even went as far to pm them just as a reminder and one guy told me he doesnt perticipate in that as it means nothing.. I had asked if he could just do it for a favor for me as I sent the money right away and never haggled him on price or any problems at all and he never did. Another thing he brought up and it has happened to me is if you buy multable items or at different times from the same member you can only leave 1 itrader no matter how mant deals you do with the member as the others dont show up on the total amount for the numbers ..He wasn't the only person to say I trader means nothing, but It's something I look for when I am going to buy on AZ.. <<<ED

I have always left iTrader when doing any business on here, however there are some I did it for who never returned it. Honestly I am not too worried, because as a buyer I feel anyone with several iTrader points is most likely going to be ok. That or the ones who have been members for years w/ a lot of posts yet little to no iTrader points. The majority of AZers are good people and care about their reputation on here.

The biggest thing I tend to see is people not leaving negative iTrader points. I have seen several threads where many AZers are all complaining about custom things being paid for up front and promised for months w/ no results, and the typical "custom maker" quits responding, yet nobody leaves any negative iTrader feedback. Why is this?

Perhaps because they are worried that by doing so, the maker will not deliver the goods. Well, after being behind several months and unable to contact the maker, the chances of getting it are really bad. Without negative iTrader the chances of the custom maker suckering more people in is high.

I had an experience a few years ago where I purchased a custom engagement ring from a very well reviewed ring maker. I read many reviews on him from many sources and even read great things about him in a diamond forum, lol. He also had a flawless record w/ the BBB. But after sending him several thousand dollars and 4 months of false promises and no contact I filed a complaint w/ the BBB. Long story short, he finally responded to me and said if I didn't remove my complaint (along with other irate customers) he would not be able to refund us our money. Nobody dropped their complaint from what I saw and the number of complaints only increased. I never got a refund from him, but thank god for buyer protection from the credit card company.

After all of that I placed reviews of him telling my story every place I read good things about him and others ripped off joined in here and there too. Having feedback and reviews is the only way to know what you're getting into. We need to police our own here on AZ and look out for each other, and not forget to recognize the good ones as well.

That's weird. Rep might really mean nothing now, but ITraders do. No system is perfect, but it lets you know about the person's past experiences, if any. That's nice that you asked him to do it for a favor and he declined....sounds like a great guy.:(

sounds like ebay

I have the same thing with Ebay. About half of the people I do a transaction will leave feedback for me. This is not fair if you do everything you can to ensure a good transaction and have fullfuled you end of the deal.

Maybe we need a system that will automaticaly leave positive feedback after 60 days of the transaction. This time spam should allow everyone ample time to respond to the purchase good or bad. I like to look at the feedback before buying or selling to get an idea of who I am dealing with. And YES...Itrader does mean something to me, I will not do a transaction with anyone that has more than one negative rating.

Honestly, it took me a while to figure out that you have to click the persons actual Itrader number on one of their posts to get to the Itrader feedback screen. I see nothing wrong with asking for Itrader feedback, either positive, neutral or negative, from any person you have a transaction with. Possibly even point them to the Itrader sticky post in the wanted/for sale section to let them know it is something put in place to help everyone on this site.

If you have a transaction with someone you have every right to ask for an Itrader feedback. I bet a lot of people are just unaware of the system here. I don't think you are doing anything wrong with asking them for feedback and showing them the system in place here, provided you keep it neutral and just ask for feedback of any type. Of course, since you are going above and beyond to keep your people happy, you will only get positive ratings anyways. :)

The whole I-trader system is what it is but it is here for the purpose letting us know the past history of transactions here on AZ may it be good or bad transactions. But for the ones that dont take advantage of I-trader system or just take a second to leave it they are why people say it doens't mean anything...just my opinion << ED

Itrader is VERY important to me. I have seen several things for sale here that I passed on simply because of the lack of itrader. If there is a guy with 30 posts and no itrader, but he's been a member for 3 years, and he's selling a cue really cheap, my scammer alert starts pinging. I could be wrong, but Im not gonna risk it. If I wanna buy a cue from a guy and he has 81 positive itraders (that would be you Jeff ;)), I would not hesitate for a second. Thats the power of the itrader, and I value it quite a bit.

ITrader means plenty! It is Rep system that is broke

Actually if only 2 in 6 months you are doing pretty good considering how many transactions you have had in that time.
Did you leave them one?

Many members just don't know how to leave it properly.

Some mistakenly think leaving a post in the ITrader thread is it. It is not the same.
Some think commenting on the ITRADER you left works. It doesn't.
Someone did a good tutorial once. I think it is in the ITrader thread.
I have sometimes sent the how-to link to a transaction partner that was lagging or says they don't know how. :idea2:

Who is the guy that refused you? You can PM me if you like.
I want to make sure I avoid him. :p:(

Jeff you're 100% right on this one. i try to leave feedback every time i do a deal. if i've forgotten anyone please remind me and i'll make it right.
