It's been too long since a show-your-Ginacue thread :)

Wow Wow Wow

Those are some great cues. Here's junksecret's plain jane with abalone rings:

Nope, that cue is still owned by Ernie as far as I know.

Kevin

I thought so, he showed it to me last time I was there. But with you I never know what goodie you going to walk out of his shop with. He was telling me that he's been breaking with it for a long time to make a point to people about ivory joints or ferrules cracking.

It's 8:36 am here and what a beautiful morning it is! Firstly, before going into the details I would like to thank you all for sharing what you have, this really is turning into one great thread!

Birk1: that is a beautiful cue, I have had no doubt that it is one of a kind!

Berny: those pictures are eeeeexactly what I was expecting from you!! :) That cue's design is very hard to describe, to say it is modern or classic, but to me it has a very nice flow to it with the thick rings on the top and bottom of butt sleeve inlaid with those circles. The whole cue is very-very elegant and all the inlays and shapes plus the use of snakewood gives everyone an idea about the master craftsmanship required to have such a built.

Poolhustler: those are real nice cues from a few decades ago! On the bottom cue I can't tell for sure but it looks to me as if the Ginacue signature has been placed on that steel ring on the top of the butt sleeve. Do I see it correctly? I've never seen that before.

Turd: that is a nice Momma Gina, I love those old 'domino' inlays in the butt sleeve!

Kevin: I didn't mean to imply that Gus' barbells are the same as others, their unique appearance is totally unquestionable to me. I was simply confused with the dates and statements but now it's okay.
That plain jane cue... I know I have dropped my jaw when Ernie showed it in the T.A.R. interview and now I have a quality picture of it! Thanks!

Doug: thank you very much for sharing! Beautiful pictures of even more beautiful cues.
This cue probably has the nicest, deepest colors I have ever seen.
Do you have a picture of the whole cue maybe and would you share it here?

Snookered: I, personally, wouldn't call that a plain Gina with the 16 points and inlaid Tahitian pearl. Very nice cue!

[sorry for the long post but I had something to reply to everyone. Thank you once again for sharing!]

Gina pics

These are some cues I owned a few years ago. Believe it or not, selling the two Ginas helped me buy a new home.

Not much for tuxedo cues are ya'? :grin-square:

As far as the house thing, why wouldn't we believe it? I've told my son, don't ever sell the cues I'm leaving you because some day they will be a down payment on a house for your grandchild.

Sorry......not the best pics.

This is a set of house cues that Ernie made from Titlist cues back in the early sixties.

I got them from the original owner who ordered them from Ernie. I sold them over 15 years ago.

A Ginacue bridge. Now I've seen everything! ;)

Kevin: thank you for the stacked veneer box close-up! I have rechecked DWBOD's box cue that he posted (11C maybe?) and those were mitred. I wonder if Ernie makes boxes both ways presently, or only mitred?

Ryan: frankly, it is pretty easy to believe that those two were worth a new home! -despite that being said, it's still an insane thing! :)

JimmyK: Those are wonderful! I know I have seen a couple of constructions that were extraordinary, but to me the (laminated?) snakewood handle is the winner of the most elaborate title.

Poolhustler: thank you for sharing them! I have never seen one of those before and now here are two! I wonder whether Ernie would build one of those sets today.

Icon2: that's a very nice picture of a very-very nice cue! Thanks for sharing!

Jamie: I think I am not of line if I say that that cue is one of a kind? I am a fan of ebony-on-ebony cues and this is another reason why I do so! Extremely elegant cue!

They are all mitred nowadays. I don't think Ernie has made anything with stacked veneers since his 2nd generation as a cue maker.
