I've never had the pleasure of hitting with an It's George before. I acquired this cue and case in a trade and I have to say....wow.

It doesnt hit anything like I expected. I expected it to have that faint 'tink' to it due to the metal joint. Not so. Soft, firm hit. Very solid, but with a nice feedback...kinda like you can feel the cueball through the tip.

Also, I love the classic look. Clean, classy, sharp. It doesn't hurt that the cue looks like it just came out of the case. The finish looks brand new.

Okay, so enough of me rambling. Here's the cue and case.

Thanks. Ima sucker for classic styling. Now I just have to make sure I dont get restless and trade/sell it.

I know exactly what you mean. I really expected that tink, or hollow sound/feel, that I've experienced with other steel jointed cues. It feels like wood to wood. I was really surprised and had to bring out a few of my other wood to wood cues, hit with them, and then go back to this one to make sure I wasnt imagining it.

After playing with it, I can honestly say I like the hit just as much as, if not more, than some pretty respected custom cues I have. I wont name names because all of the cuemakers we've come to respect deserve it. I'll just say...this cue might be The One.

I have always wanted to own a fancier It's George cue like this one. I love the symetry of color and design in this cue. All cues should be built like this.

I considered buying either that cue or its twin in 1997. The cue played great and made for a tough choice.

I have three SS jointed cues. All three are as solid as you describe and provide a lot of feel for the ball. None of them makes a sound.

Congratulations finding a hidden gem.

I have had many "It's George" cues passing through my hands, but I don't ever remember owning 1 with this design, or anything close to this design.

Congrats on your find. I see less and less of them.
 
Due to a new players cue, this cue may be heading to the For Sale section soon. Trades welcome.

It's number 1 on my "Never should have sold it" list.

If anyone ever comes across it, please let me know as I'd like to get it back.

I just wanted to quote these for posterity!!! Just in case I ever decide to sell one of my "forever cues"...I can look back on someone else verbally kicking themselves! ;)
