Does any one know what the WHITE material is in the rings? It seems to have some grain lines in it & it is a gray- white phenolic color...JER

Hi Jer,
A pic would help to jog the memory.
I believe that the last one that I did, Predator mate/match, I determined that it was linen melamine.
Pure white with cross-hatch weave. No gray hue.
If you need a ring or two let me know, I still have the billet.
Aegis may be an option also.

Maybe it's might be Grice?
It's really white, more than the white phenolic I got..
When I machine it, it seems brittle..
Hey KJ, You're a smart guy..
You always back-up what you say, So, Remember, I said Maybe..:)

Try this link to Prather's..

I don't know what It is Myself, but for some reason Grice was the first thing that popped into My mind When I read Jerry's question and description. It's possible I heard It somewhere before.

I wish Prathers had It in each size. I've always wanted to try the stuff in a handle, but It's been hard for me to find other diameters.

The Grice was always a softer material for me....and more ivoryish in color. Wish I had more left.
To answer your question Jerry...hollar at Mike Gulyassy...he'll know for sure.
