Don't ya think... "Normally"? I like banks and kicks, a huge part of my practice routine... practice hard stuff all time... makes a simple cut shot seem easy... don't have to think about it....only one angle.
Can anyone play a combo good almost every-time, other than Buddy Hall?

most of the time this is a good axiom, but ... i utilize banks over cuts when playing 2-way shots when a cut shot would not give the needed control of the cue ball. As your game becomes fine tuned these instances will become self-evident.
Depends on the shooter's skills, confidence level, the layout of the table (i.e. position play).
That being said, all other things equal, I'm a cutter myself. Banks for me were (are) 60%/40%. An old teammate of mine won't cut a ball for anything, but will play a bank instead. HIS success rate was more like 90%/10%.
If you're dialed in and in high gear, every ball finds the pocket...

I was always told "If you really wanna win, you gotta cut'em in"
Yes....I have a very, very high success rate with combination shots....love 'em!
