I've talked about sports shrinks here before, pointing out Ronnie O thanked one in his speech after a world championships win , I've pm'ed pro players here about seeing one
I do this because I saw one and the results were incredible it's paid off ten fold
Tonight the Washington Caps goalie , says after the game he talked to his guy helped him get focused in his play and win tonight
I find it astonishing that pool players at the pro level do not use thier services like other sports / games do ,,heck for that matter they don't seek any help they think they got it all figured out on thier own
Maybe that's why we are falling light yrs behind

If only pool players made NHL money...

Until then, we're stuck with used copies of The Inner Game of Tennis. :(

Perhaps many of them do, and just keep their mouths shut about it. ??
I know if I were a championship big money pool player and I found out that 'using psychological help' was an aid to my game, the very LAST thing I'd want is for my competitors to start doing it too.
You just never know about those things......

I bought that book in 1979. Cisero Murphy saw me reading it and just shook his head and said, "If you want to get better at pool, then you need to stop reading books about tennis."

lol

Mental Game Coaches in pool do exist. I'm one.

From time to time I'll do a video such as the one in the link I have provided below. In my experience, pool players seem to be more interested in quick fixes - and most are incapable of adopting and incorporating a consistent mental game training program.

These days, I work mostly with golfers, tennis players, basketball players, and other athletes. That's what keeps the lights on.

I hope you enjoy the video.
