The official ones are capped. 5/16 18, 3/16 cap and 3/16 shoulder at the bottom.JBCustomCues said:

They are in England, and I got a sample pack from them a couple of years ago, and must say, it sure looks real and machines real nice..

I wouldn't think those things from Masecraft would make good ferrules. I haven't used them myself, but from what I've heard, they are like plastic.
