Do they not teach spelling in school any more . I got so confused trying to desifer what you are saying , I just gave up . Unbeleivable !!!!!!! Jim

Decipher?

I'm the last person that should be correcting spelling....But I couldnt resist Jim!

I thought it was an intentional pun of sorts - kinda funny in that regard.

Spelling and grammar are important to me, but obviously not to all and it doesn't impair their ability to produce great cues and to share their knowledge, so I have come to overlook it.

That hurt.

True, he may make great cues. But, he's asking someone else to make parts for him that he should be able to make. Combined with not being able to write one literate sentence does not bode well for a good product. I know a wolfhound breeder who has some of the best dogs around (they came from our kennel). She can't sell the puppies because her website is full of butchered grammar. You'd almost expect to get a puppy with two heads.

I think you should read the rules also:

*****he forum shall never be used by cuemakers or non-cuemakers to criticize other cuemakers, the quality of their work, or their methods.

All discussions shall be had in a spirit of cooperation with the desire to learn and share knowledge. This means anyone can ask questions and the questions should be answered by cuemakers. Once the cuemaker gives his opinion it is to be taken as such and not to be criticized. There are many ways to build quality cues and there are many variations on opinions of what constitutes quality work. Therefore no one is allowed to start criticizing and slamming other peoples methods. Simply state what you feel is the best method and it should be left at that.*****

Sorry. My comments did go too far. There is some truth to the idea that his abilities may be judged more harshly than is fair due to his overly relaxed style with the written word. Thank you for having the testicular fortitude to say something.

You do not know me or my ability. So you did get your wagon before the mule here .If you would like to donate the machines i need to do the rings i mite have in mind i will take it and learn them well .I make do with what I have and do very well at it thank you . There some on here who know my work and can attest to it . I am slso makeing this cue for me ,so im not trying to get rings made for a cue to sell and misrepresent as i made them .This is what i think your implying? My spelling has nothing to do with my mechanical ability either .As I work as a aircraft mechanic for Boeing aviation and cue building is a hobbie . Thanks Bill

I overlook alot on here ? You would go crazy or get banned if you did'nt .LOL

I make My own billet for ring work, But It's not that unusual for a maker to get them Made elsewhere.I prefer to only make the stuff for Myself, but I've made It in trade for materials for people that produced many more cues then I do. With the equipment I use It is a lot of work especially if the material has to be cut into strips and thickness sanded and then hand fit, so even though there is some trade involved It's still more of a favor then what I would consider a even trade. Anyhow My point is not everyone makes their own, Otherwise why would It be available from some of the suppliers that offer the service.

slow down

PRATHERS CUE SUPPLY or the rings above look great
have a great day
PS it bothers me too that my grammer and spelling sucks.
