Ivory veneers?

similar

Just a curious question, I guess. Has anyone ever used ivory veneers in their cues?

Ivory has been used to look similar unless I am badly mistaken. However veneers are normally folded to install them. Recut points look similar to veneers but are very pricey in ivory. That leaves something that would basically be an inlay which is quite possible.

Jerry McWorter had a beautiful cue with ivory veneers at the SBE. I almost bought it even though the last thing I need right now is another cue.

Yes. This cue was built for me using thin ivory slabs that were specifically milled to be used as veneers and were mitered for v-groove points.

Scott, is that the petree you sold not too long ago? I almost pulled the trigger on that one, very sharp looking cue.
