I posted this somewhere else but I think it would be better served in the main forum.

I've been looking at these some this week (the J&J jump/break series) and I see small visual difference but I wonder if anyone has experience using two or more of the various types and whether there is any hit/feel difference?

Like any difference between the 2724 and the 4410.
Or, the 2731 and the 2729?

And also, are these much better than the Players Specialty Jump/break cues?

IMHO..they make the best break cues on the market for the $s

I have used 4 or 5 different one. I actually like the ones with the phenolic tips with white ferrules. I got a better break using that one than I did using the one with the one piece tip/ferrule. I think it holds chalk better also. They both jump fairly easy. You can't beat them for the cash.

I am pretty sure the only difference is the color/design and the tip/ferrule.

Ive also used the butterfly with the 1 piece phenolic fuerrel and tip as well as the stained mapple butt with white fuerrel and tip.

I have to say the one with the white fuerrel and tip broke and jumped better.

the white fuerrel and tip are the best . But to make it better find you a good repair man in your city and have him turn it down a little and use it then.
the taper you want used will be of a shooting cue taper. You'll go nuts.

Yep!!!!!!!!! i bought it off you and couldn't have been happier with it. i only sold it because someone offered me more than i paid for it after trying it out.

The one I had warped and I didn't treat it badly, It jumped great. I just kept jumping with it until the thing was a bow. I forget what I paid for it, but it was so inexpensive, I couldn't complain. It served its purpose.

I used to have a j&j jump/break butterfly with the 1 piece phenolic fuerrel and tip and it was great but I have a dc jump/break with 1 piece fiberglass tip fuerrel and I find that it is actually better and cheaper than the j&j

Dave

mine warped too. i didn't care though. what it cost/what i paid and the performance all taken into account it was cool.

even though it wasn't straight it still broke like a cannon and jumped with ease
