I would like to hear from Jack Justis case owners on which case style they like better, the new prolite or the tube style. Owners please give me your pro's and con's of why you like one vs the other.

Thanks Jimmy

Does anybody have an opinion on this?

I like the Pro-Lites. Same classic look, but lighter.

You can't go wrong with a Justis or a Murnak. The best cases out there, and that's a FACT!

S & M thanks for input about your case, glad somebody out there has an opinion.

I have one of each and I like the idea of a lighter case but I also like the fact that both butts and all 4 shafts are seperated by their own PVC enclosure in the older tube style case. I think the tube case could stand up to a greater beating but being realistic I believe that both cases provide more than adequate protection for what a case generally goes through from a wear and tear perspective.

Hi Don
Thanks for thoughts on cases. All my cases are divided with fabric like the prolite Justis and think i would rather have a tube style like the older Justis cases. I had asked Jack if he would make one with tubes and he declined the request so i will search for one of his older styles.

Gotta Go ''old School Tubes'' On This One,,,,,,

I Like The Added Protection, Also,, The Way The Tubes Hold Each Cue,,,,,,,

Plus,,,,,,,thats What Guys Like ''eddie Taylor'' Owned And Used ,,,,

If it's "Lite" you want, neither of the Justis Cases truly fit that profile ... They are substantial to say the least ... That, along with quality craftsmanship, are the reasons to purchase any Jack Justis Case ...

I have tried both and prefer the Tube Style ... They are bullet-proof and protect the Shafts and Butts extremely well ...

It's kind of like the "Safe" feeling you get when drivng a Mercedes S 500 opposed to a Hyundai Accent ...

Say what? If you don't think the Pro-Lite is a light case then you must be an 87 year old woman. I have one and I can barely even feel it when I pick it up...

I prefer the Justis Pro-Lite in the 2x4 configuration but I still like the old tube style in the 3x6... not because of the weight or protection, I just like the shape of it better.

haha lol.....

I'm 65 and can still out-work, out-lift, out-shoot, out-drive, and certainly out-wit most of the young snot-nosed bangers who buzz around me like a bunch of little gnats ...

No opinion change on the Pro-Lite ... I would much rather carry the Tube-type Justis in 2x4 and 3x6 ...

But that's exactly why Jack built the new Case ... People must have been asking for it and it should be cheaper to build ...

I won't be buying a new one because I can't get the tube style.

I will not be buying a prolite either. Tube style with out a doubt provides the best protection. Whitten cases is #1 now in the case market! Ask Ernie at Gina cues!

Well it seems that most people like the old tube style Justis cases better then the new pro lite. So what if the pro lite is lighter we should have the option of having tubes or not. Jack are you seeing what alot people are saying lets have an option for tubes.

To each their own. I have no idea what anyone else is talking about. The Pro-Lite is superior. It is a PVC tube case. It shouldn't be any cheaper to make. It indeed is light.

I have both. The Pro-Lite is better. The cue doesn't rattle around in there. The case gives all the protection I can reasonably expect. I don't expect to be running this case over or bringing it on skydiving trips. But, if it happens to fall out of my hands, I know my cues are going to be alright.

If people are going to argue the protection factor, I want all of you to be using Zero Haliburton cases next time I see you. If not, then you all know that there is a reasonable expectation for protection by a case.

If people are going to argue "lightness," then please, make sure you have a soft felt carrier instead of a hard case.

If you want light and protection, and great looks, then Justis Pro-Lite is the leading choice.

Truth be told, I have never met anyone that owns both old school and Pro-Lite Justis Cases that doesn't prefer the new Pro-Lite style.

I had a pro lite and liked it well, very light, could hardly feel it even with 2 cues, I did not like the zippers on the sides, a little too hard to fish around for the things I needed, looks a lot nicer with the zippers on the side but when the zippers are down the center, makes it much easier to get your things out. The main thing with the Justis was, I was always watching it in the pool hall or bar, I was afraid someone would steel it because it looked so good. So I replaced it with a more common case

These are my thoughts on this:

www.jbcases.com/ordering.html

I have owned the tube version and have had cases with the pro-lite interior. These days I prefer the fabric interior version better, it's cushier and lighter.

It depends on the durability of the exterior tube as to whether it is more or less protective than using plumbing/electrical tubes bundled together.

If the exterior tube is made of a plastic that can withstand the same kind of impact then it's all good. If not then it can splinter. This assumes that the case would have significant acute force applied to it, like getting run over or something. Most cue cases will never have to withstand that sort of abuse, especially if they are custom cases that are being handled with care, so it's not likely an issue.

Anyway, to me it's really either or with neither being better or worse.
