JackMadden on cover of OnTheBreak

I loved that article. It held my attention to the very end, laced with interesting little bits of pool smut! Very, very cool! :)

Gotta agree, JAM. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Congratulations, Jack.

who else?

I see the fellow lying on the table, but who are the man and
woman up top? (Doh, just kidding). Congrats.

Hey Jack,

Great article. Are those parts of my cue pictured on page 4 by your name?? Looks a lot like what I am waiting on;)

I cannot wait.

Does anyone have some pics of Jack's cues?

Here is a picture of a Madden cue custom-made for Keith McCready. Jack put some special ingredients in this cue stick, which gives Keith that infamous "hit" that pros desire in a professional cue stick. The secret forumla which makes this cue special cannot be bought!

There is Keith's weapon of mass destruction, one of a kind, and he never leaves home without it! :p

Thanks for posting the page information. We had a nice visit with Cheese - played some POOL too.

OK, Jack, give it up. Who took down the Cheese?

Bill,
Well when the publisher is the one doing the interview and has driven a couple hundred miles just to take pictures and talk ---- I didn't think it was too smart so I didn't take down the Cheese who is the publisher - his name is Don "Cheese" Akerlow. I am in good company --- some of the monthly contributors are Bob Jewett of the SFBA (who I have known for 20+yrs and have deep respect for his knowledge and love of the game), Samm Diep-house pro in CO, Pat Sheehan, Robert Byrne, Sarge Aylesworth (I have known for 40yrs!) and Tom "Dr. Cue" Rossman - even Harry Platis and several of the AZB's.

Cues

I like that cue with all the turtouise and the 420 degree inlayed one. I also enjoyed reading about the history of On The Break publication. I used to publish a billiards newsletter for the Wichita Area, published every other month with 1,500 distribution, all by myself, except for a good friend, Rotten Ralph, who used to take all my pictures for me.

So Norm has one? And if the Boucher family east of the mountains show up it will be atleast another 3.

Dang, I was gonna post that article on Sunday, but the online version wasn't up yet and I called Cheese and Mary and they said soon. Yesterday, I was in Walla Walla all day, so I never got the chance. Anyway, Jack, congratulations on a great interview and it was wonderful reading about your interesting work and life. Congratulations!

Btw, my hubby's pic is also in there. http://www.onthebreaknews.com/Page13.htm (Please, no flak for splitting the pot! :p )

Yup Normy has a plain BEM w/ linen
Did you make Jeff's cousins cue i'm pretty sure it has his initial and some lightning bolts on the butt:confused:

EDIT: are you coming down the friday night before the tourney, they'll have two or three action/challenge tables going

I will probably be there Friday - if they do it like the last couple years, you better come hungry - they put on a good feed for the $. Boucher usually get there for the calcutta - in fact last year he picked up another shaft from me on his way and I left right after he left my place. A couple of the Boucher cues have my Montana logo on them --- not sure which cue it is if its a Madden.

Norms has the Montana logo on it

Apparently the owner of the finish line (Brandon) has decided not to do a dinner this year:( which makes him a cheap ass because the poolplayers bring in so much revenue for him(drink money etc.) the dinner wouldn't even make a dent. DeLogger has tried to talk him into it so hopefully he'll change his mind, but I'm not holding my breath
