Joe Grey
Shane McMinn
Jeff Melton

Thanks,
JoeyA

Mission 1 I have never met you personally, but James should remember me. I will see you guys in Olathe next week, and if I do gamble, you can guarantee it will be on James.

Tell him Micah says hello, and good luck.

Hasn't

Melton been living in Missouri for sometime. I know he was the house pro at a room for awhile, somewhere around St. Joesph, I think.

We should have like a betting Pool for who might end up in 1st for each table, and who will be the first one on each table to blow an open shot.... LOL

By the way, If Corey follows Gabe, or Gabe follows Corey, I am betting on him ....

This is why they will be redrawing every 10 games to eliminate any funny stuff.

He was the first poolplayer to show me by example why it is so important to shoot the money ball that is sitting in the pocket the same way you shoot a 5 foot cut shot. At first I didn't know why he took so much time to shoot such an easy shot. I used to just pop them in the hole. He takes more time to shoot a ball in the jaws than any other player I have ever seen. (and that's a good thing) :D

Could you expand on this a little more joey about what he told you about this shot? thanks tk

TK,
It is really about any shot. And he didn't tell me anything. I just observed the way that he gave the same amount of attention to every shot no matter how easy or how difficult it was.

The point being that the same amount of time and the same amount of effort should go into EVERY shot regardless of how easy or how difficult the shot is.

By going through your pre-shot routine even on easy shots like the one below, you will continue to stay in stroke.

CueTable Help

If you take less time than normal on the above shot than you do on the shot below, you will be depriving yourself of a chance to stay in stroke and a chance to continue to think and execute with the same tempo and intensity or lack of intensity.

CueTable Help

Every prospective shot should be treated with the same amount of respect; no more and no less than any other shot.

Also the outcome of every shot whether it be made or missed should be treated the same so that you remain on an even keel, emotionally. Basically you have to accept the results of a shot rather than becoming emotionally toasted because of a bad shot or even a great shot.

Wath the pros and how they react to a missed shot or a difficult shot being made. No big roller coaster of emotion either way....

Good luck.

I have it on fairly good authority that Hennessee is planning to make the trip out there as well. He is trying to get everything finalized right now.

Thanks alot Joey. This is something most probably overlook but one of the most important things to remember while playing. Sorry to get off the topic of Walden but it caught my attention. Thanks, tk

trust me,corey wouldnt ruin his name for 30k(or w/e 1st place will be).

I know that. I am a friend of Gabe's, and it was just like I would tease Gabe about because they are such good friends and went on exhibition together.
A playful jab, that's all.

I would expect some more players to be confirmed today and tomorrow. I hope The Action Report keeps us current on that.

I wonder how Shooters is accepting entry fees. I heard you had to put up $500, and then pay the rest before the tournament. BUT, are they accepting wire transfers, paypal, credit cards, etc..?
Too bad we don't see Darren Appleton on the list.
