I just watched the enjoypool.com finals between Allison and Jasmin. After Jasmin made a 1-9 carom, did she throw the chalk on the floor?

Jasmin

No, She does a little hand sweep of the table. She does it a few times during the match if you havent seen the whole match.

Jasmin!!!!!!!!!!!

She got game!!!!! She shot em all down.Great young talent-nice to see a fresh new face hoisting the winners trophy.

Wow! This thread is almost 30 minutes old & there's no sign of Inzi!!

Ah, I know what it is. He's no doubt on his way to pick up the chalk she "may" have knocked onto the floor for her.:D

great match and great player(s)

I saw this match a few weeks ago, and last night as well. It
was the first time I ever saw Jasmin Ouschan play, and she
is really impressive. Her stroke and style had me glued to the
television. She seemed more focused than anyone I have seen
play lately. It was nice to see her finally smile when she won,
as she showed so little emotion during the match.

I'm glad that 3 ball fell for her. It rattled quite a bit first.

i just watched this match too. i really liked her form, so consistant. looked kind of like a mix of neils feijens stance and ralph souquet's stroke. man she's only 20 too!!

Jasmin's English

No...I'm not talking about the spin she puts on the ball. I'm talking about her English: it's perfect! She's from Austria, yet her English is flawless. Anybody know why? Has she spent much/any time in America? I know that English is spoken quite a bit in Austria, but hers has a bit of an American accent to it.

I love to watch her play. Not bad on the eyes, of course, but the determination with which she plays is inspiring.

Move over Allison...there's a new kid in town! (I wonder if she'll stay?)

the fearlessness of youth!

Often you can see that the other player is a bit intimidated playing Allison. I noticed that when both Jasmin and Kim took her down it was the other way around. You could see that slight lack of confidence in Allison when faced with youth and skill.

Not that Allison isn't still the best and the one I would back over the long haul but I think she feels she is looking at the people who will be replacing her not too many years down the road when she tangles with these tough shooting kids.

slight correction warranted

I just watched that shot again, and it did not rattle "quite a
bit" as I stated earlier. I looks like it hit each pocket jaw
just once, and Eva said "Oh!" as it happened.

I also noticed that both Mitch and Eva later said that Allison
did not miss a single ball, but she did.

Jasmin's straight pool

Last year at the straight pool tournament in New Jersey I heard she set a record for the longest run by a women. When there used to be women's 14.1 tournaments they usually played to 100 instead of the 150 that men played to, so their high would be lower. In the New Jersey tourny the men and women played together. I think Janette Lee and Jasmin were the only women. This the tourny where Hohman ran 173 to set the men's record.

Said many times here...Saw her live at the World Straight pool Championships in New Brunswick, NJ and among the pros her stroke, to the uneducated eye I have, stood out as the most fluid and natural as any of the pros shooting, and I saw some of the best!

She took English lessons from Arnold. He claims he works very hard to keep his accent.:)

she's an amazing player - for me her stroke is right up there with earl's for class and beauty.

Already wrote this in another thread. Jasmin dominated the EPC 14.1 tournament. All races were to 75. In semifinal Jassy ran 75-out and in the final she ran 76-out after a foul in the beginning of the match. It was no miracle she reached the L8 or L16 of the world straight pool championships last year...
