I guess Ill buy you dinner in Louisville. I hear they have a great steakhouse. I didnt go to the match, but I heard Shane played unreal. As for Fatboy, would"ve, could've, should have, whatever. Didnt! Believe me, I gave everybody every opportunity to get me, and thankfully they passed. I am sure Corey will try him some more, maybe here in Ohio.

I wish that who I bet with wanted to bet more, I let him set the amount(I didnt want to press him for more, I loved that bet), he is a great guy and friend. Jay is too, its just a shame he cant play banks, the other guy CAN play banks.

I can't help but wonder....how do you think this would have played out on a table with some wear on the cloth? Do you think Shane would have still been playing 7 ball after the break?
Playing the way he was it probably wouldn't have changed the outcome but I think it would have slowed him down a little and the match would have been a little closer IMO.

i agree 100% Shane would have still won but he wouldnt have been making 2 or more balls on 90% of the breaks, that table played easy, I have played on Diamonds with new cloth and they didnt play as easy as that table did. If that cloth had 40 hours play on it the game would have been slower but Shane still would have won. I believe the home court thing was a big factor here.

What do I think? The same thing I thought two weeks ago. Shane is a better 9-Ball player than Corey and a lot of other guys too. It should be quite an adventure when he arrives in Manila. Kind of like Johnny when he first went there, but more so.
The next real test for Shane may be when he's facing Django or Alex on those tight ass Metro tables in One Side. I may have to tape that one myself. It will be a match for the ages. And then he may go out to Bugsy's to play Lee Van. I want to get that one on tape too.
Who knows, Yang will be there too. And Shane is ready! I see that now. The reign of Shane has only just begun!

As good as Shane played and is playing, I don't think that Corey is gonna back down over 1 match. The last time they played (on neutral turf, and on a table that Shane had been killing everyone on in Atlanta) Corey roasted him giving him the 8. If and when they play again, maybe in Atlanta for the big Viking tourney later this year, I will put Corey in the box if they play 9 ball, rack your own, and the window will be open. A player of Corey's calibre doesn't lay down just because he lost one match. He may need to rededicate himself and practice a little more pool and a little less golf, but I think he's still hungry enough to want to be the best.

I have seen them all and this guy is unflappable and remember he is all of what 25 years old? Corey used to have his desire, but I like Shane's break unless they play rack your own with the sourdough rack.
